Liam McBean

Good that he's got a minimum of two more games in the seniors. Hopefully shaken the nerves out of his system.

Some people you just cannot please. Looking forward to see McBean next week.

Glad someone is
At least we don't have to worry he'll get into Jack's way

You say that like its a bad thing.

I for one enjoyed watching a forward who actually understands how a forward line is meant to work. McBean made it to plenty of contests tonight, but was smart enough to stay down when he wasn't the clear option.

A vast improvement on Ty and Ben both flying one handed for the same ball as Jack and spoiling him in the process. (Speaking of which, Ben almost managed to do it to Shane as well tonight...)

Sure he was slow, but most players take a game or two to adjust to the pace. He hit the scoreboard, he was honest in the ruck, he brought the ball to ground multiple times, he shot off a lightning handball to Jack that should have been an easy goal.

Plenty to like, but lots of scope for him to improve too. About what I expected for his first game in the seniors this year.

Good stuff, agree. Also doesnt get much quicker than Bullies at Etihad

May or may not make it as has some physical deficiencies he needs to address, but there is no doubt he has the forward smarts to make it. Our forward line was more open and functional, as he led to the right spots, opened up space and didn't get in Jacks way. Must play for rest of the year.

Fumbled a lot especially early.

Had very little influence on the game and I worry about his lack of physicality. He deserves a few weeks but didn't really look up to it tonight

Yes he was nervous early on but I thought he played a big part in the third quarter. Got to numerous contests and helped open the space for Jack. I haven't seen Jack be one out in our forward 50 that many times for a long time.

Let's hope the Bean loves give up the crap they post on PRE and his delisted as his a list clogger

The credit goes to Jack not a suburban footballer

Dimma said in his presser that the Bean will play the next couple of weeks so he will be given the chance to see if he can hack it at AFL level
Next week should suit him against the Bendigo Bombers

Yep that game was at least what Vickery has been delivering all year if not a bit smarter (eg running off the bench to intercept a mark).

The one thing he lacks like Vickery is intensity. If he can become manic with pressure he's smart enough to use it to his advantage.

Good that Dimma has locked him in for a few more so we can all be satisfied that he has been given the opportunity whether he buys himself another year or we pass him off

He'll find work tough against the Doggies defence and after such a long period out of AFL level footy.

My guess. 1.1, 9 possessions.

About what I expected. Couple of decent passages of play but struggled to have an influence.
