I'll put forward another view for a laugh.

I want McBean to get a run, but I doubt it will be this week.

If we want to trade out Vickery and at least get a reasonable deal, he really needs to play.

Given all the negative press about him this week, do you completely destroy his confidence by dropping him.

Do we not just look like we are bowing to outside pressure and look even more foolish for doing so.

Do clubs who may be interested think they are going to get a steal.

I hope McBean plays but it's never what it seems
We don't need to drop Vickery to play McBean. Drop Maric.

Or drop Griffith - 5 possessions, 0 marks last week. We're not exactly short of talls that could do with a spell in the VFL.

This.

Get Vickery rucking with Griffiths. McBean plonked next to Jack.

Hampson can rest his ankle for anther week or 8.

You think clubs are really that dumb? If a club wants him they'll take him whatever happens from here on at the Tigers. Doubt we'll get anything for Vickery now, we needed to offload him 2 years ago.

Ty and Griff are squarely in the mold of your 24-ish-ruck/fwd-have-shown-glimpses-but-not-enough-but-are-tall-and-mobile-and-could-could-yet-arrive players like Chris Dawes and Rhys Stanley, who both were traded for a 20-ish pick from memory. They could be worth a bit less, but that's the ballpark.

You'd think so but Dimmer said Hampson will be back and is mulling over whether we play both him and Maric.

My thoughts:
McBean will be named in the squad.
That keeps us off Dimma's back for a couple more days.
Then he misses out on final selection.

Then rinse, repeat next week.

No squad poppa, will have to be final team as we play on the Saturday.

Yep can't sneak him out the back door when no one's watching

I dont think there's massive expectations on McBean.

All we are hoping is that he shows more than Vickery.

So basically has to touch it 5 times, and it's a pass mark.

Hope the kid does well . However he has huge expectations on him esp from posters here .

People have been screaming out for him to play because his form has deserved it for 3 years plus a combo of Vickery/Griffiths, etc out of form/injured and whatnot.

Not that he's a superstar. The expectations of him are that of a 3rd gamer (if he plays). In reality he should have 30 senior games experience to his name by now. But that's Dimma development for ya.

Good luck Liam, hope you have a good one. We don't want a 1st/3rd game flash in the pan ala Dean Polo, just a good solid contribution to the team. (What we've all wanted from TV all year.)

No huge expectations. I just want to see him get a string of games to see what he can achieve. I certainly don't expect to see him rip it up and doubt he will. But right now he s a far better proposition looking to the future than Vickery.
