Lamby, why don't you hang outside Hardwick's house and, with megaphone in hand, continue to extoll the virtues of McBean until Hardwick relents and selects him.

Do you think it would work?

That's one way to look at it Lamby. Another would be that the coaches know where Beany is at and what he needs to do to develop towards an AFL call-up. He needs to build his upper body and his tank and improve his defensive side. Incidentally and going off not seeing him at all this year, would building his body over the off season would explain a few backward steps early this year? On Chol they needed to see where he was at so it made sense to play him and throw him around to see how he would respond

Even if there is some merit in the stance taken by the coaches (which they don't take with the chosen ones) not playing him at all pre season is just plain mean and nasty. Not justifiable at all and it looks like its led to Beanie deciding to move clubs.

Also their stance is stupid and self defeating if they want us to improve as a side.

Ah well Tigers VFL have a bye this weekend. Based on the McBean-only rule, it's going to require a month of him ripping it up at VFL level, which will make it just in time for him to be picked for our bye in Round 13.

I got to see him up close and personal on Saturday. He did a lot of running. Still looks like he is building his tank. Might be carrying something too.

Yeah, it's the inflated expectation of the tiger fans. It would be a burden on anyone.

Based on 3.5 years of history.

Anyway, Dimma doesn't like changes and definitely doesn't like them after a loss. He,ll back Ty in for another week (which will be 2 weeks as the reserves have a bye this week so McBean won't be picked next week either).

Very easy to make a baseless comment. Based on 3.5 years of what? History or personal (subjective) opinion?

Not sure what's tricky here for you to understand UT.

In 3.5 years Liam has been selected twice. That's what I based my "baseless comment" on.

I also based my "baseless comment" on what I believe is Dimma reticence to make a lot of changes to a winning side.

And finally I based my "baseless comments" on my personal opinion that he won't be selected for this weeks game. We shall see if I'm wrong in a few hours.

Quite acidic for such baseless comments
