Damn right. Again, I'm not saying end the McBean farce,

Yes you are Snakey. And you know what? You are damn right.

This McBean farce has been going on for six weeks and I for one won't stand for it.

END IT NOW!!!!

I don't see what your saying here. He clashed heads with a teammate and was just unlucky. That's football it happens.

He was thrown around like a rag doll, and this is a lad who is built like a brick sh&%!house. Anyone who thinks McBean is ready for senior football is forgetting the challenges that 90% of tall players face through the ages of 18-22. The transition to senior football is huge, particularly for a forward. Buddy Franklin took three years before he kicked into top gear, and he's at the top of the tree.

From my perspective, we're still in the hunt for a finals berth and we should be using hardened bodies to get there. If we're out of the running, then sure, a couple of games at the end of the year wouldn't hurt. But even that scenario would require a fair few losses over the next two months.

OK you're on to me. End the bloody Beenie farce, stick him in the fwd pocket against Essendon. Beenie up one end, Daniher up the other

90% is an overstatement. But I take your point. Also, Buddy's 1st, 2nd and 3rd gears were pretty damn good, and nobody starts at top gear anyway.

On form, the big O, then McBean are the next options after Ivan and TV - so play him and see what we've got.

So McBean is ready to ruck now?

Re: mcbean -- birth of a legend

The only reason you would even consider McBean is that Port is very short and light down back - he could play out of the square and kick 4 goals with 6-7 posessions

End the bloody Beenie farce. . .

There. The monster is named. The farce is called.

Re: mcbean -- birth of a legend

Point well made TS (though I'm quite sure Fish wasn't ever as skinny as Beanie). If a guy's smashing the lower level to pieces then why hold him back? Although it hasn't happened yet, it certainly wouldn't surprise me if he lit up the VFL some time this season or the next. From what I've seen so far, he looks more likely to cause damage than Elton or Griffiths already, so I wouldn't count out some AFL in 2014.
The problem he has, of course, is that he can't ruck yet. But he seems to think he's Eddie Betts so we could just play him permanently in the pocket as the world's tallest small forward.

Agree with the sentiment of not rushing him, but 'at least 2015'? So thats probably 2016? Thats taking 'not rushing' to ridiculous extremes. If he is what he appears to be, a good player, he'll be getting games next year.

The way our talls are travelling he might get a gig this year Snakey...

Actually Edwards has kicked significantly more goals and whilst he isn't our long term solution he was brought in to play a role if needed. He is now needed.

Beanie can wait his turn. Interesting that Griff was played in the forward line on the weekend. Now it's a shootout between Elton, Beanie and maybe Griff...

thats pretty good. Was the fullback on drugs?

Nope, McBean has been very good the last month and has kicked a few bags.

McGuane would be getting nervous...

No doubt we are impatient soda , but premature specejaculations over a (1) 202cm 18 yo kid who (2) thinks he is eddie betts and (3) has arguably the best nickname in 30-odd years aint crazy, its perfectly normal.
