I wonder how many players we had ranked in the 20s!Some serious spin on that by Clarke. "We think he is in the 20's but traded back twice and risked it". Find it hard to believe. If Kane come good and is a role player and we get the same from the 2024 slide-back picks, you are right it's a genius maneuver.
Spin? By a football club on a draftee? That is an outrageous slur! Some serious spin on that by Clarke. "We think he is in the 20's but traded back twice and risked it". Find it hard to believe. Not necessarily 100% correct re weight loss for athletes like Kane.I reckon he'll still do some weights, but I suspect they'll have set him a specific diet immediately with very few carbs but a lot of protein, and then as you say, there will be a lot of running / HIIT in the gym. Best way to lose weight fast and controlled is HIIT and limiting your intake of carbs.
in an interview before the draft he said he did extra work on his endurance, and cut down his time trial from about 7 mins to 6:26, which is impressive, so sounds like he will be up for the hard work!Just on his size, Clarke mentioned one of the first things they'll do this pre-season is lose some kgs off him.
Said he's too big and they'll shred a few kilos then slowly build him back up.
Not many weights coming up for young Kane, but get ready to run.
I had Hall ahead in the pecking order, his state form a little bit better but how much better? Not sure, I'm happy with the approach and feel the extra draft capital gives Clarke a slight edge. McAuliffe has some pretty good upside too, his athletic profile looks great on paper, plenty of scope for improvement. He also has burst from the stoppage, this quality I rank particularly highly.I wonder how many players we had ranked in the 20s!
Seriously maybe we rank players on the level - Mcauliffe similar to Clay Hall.
We can be happy with either one, because the small differences disappear in a good environment.
We can get caught up with pick 29 v 35. But the bigger impact is on the track.
Anyway i'm looking forward to seeing him play. Reckon he gets 3 games in 24
Without wanting to take anything away from his hard work, he clearly also has good genetics on his side.I'm struggling to remember a draftee that arrived in as good a shape. Credit to the lad, he's put in the work.
Yep, they're good salt of the earth people out Port Augusta way.Without wanting to take anything away from his hard work, he clearly also has good genetics on his side.
Wish our recruiters had your eye. This kid has something about him.
Yeah that Craig is the ultimate brightsider.Wish our recruiters had your eye.
You can see something by looking at a picture in the herald sun.
Imagine what you could tell by watching them play live!
Love the pre season hype btw
Where did you have Cooper Simpson compared to Hall & our ladI had Hall ahead in the pecking order, his state form a little bit better but how much better?
