Kane McAuliffe

Prefer to wait a very short time G :)
hehe, my comment was a bit subtle. You said you can't wait to see what he does in the Magoos.

My response was basically hoping that he doesn't play in the magoos if the hype is on the money.

I had a "fall" coming down the stairs whilst holding my daughter duriing covid lockdowns and had bruising in my knee joints and stress in my shin. It's not been the same since.
*smile* double storey houses.
That's what you get for trying to carry a 38 year old down stairs! 😇

Not protect him fully? Taranto and Hopper are two big boys in there, with Dusty also back. He would have more than enough big bodies in there to protect him from the rough and tumble imo (If he even needs it!!) He ain’t no skinny lightweight, and goes at the contest with no fear.
Only endurance and experience can hold him back at this point and he won’t get the experience if we don’t play him.
Intriguing that he was removed from the VFL game at half time on Saturday. Was it due to fitness, or hopefully saving him for a debut this week after they’d seen enough to think him worthy. Prestia may well be rested due to short turnaround so hope this kid replaces him.
I can see where you're coming from, but if they're playing how they did on the weekend it doesn't matter how big they are y'know? They're not going hard enough at it to give him that space/protection

My boy is named in the guts tomorrow for the last VFL practice match. He will dominate Carlton.

From watching him in the VFL yesterday, it’s hard to find reasons not to debut him next week.Big, fast, hits hard and has a nice long kick on him.

Maybe he needs to find more the of the ball? Hard to say without stats.

He may play next week and I think he is a good prospect but his game yesterday wasn’t one that screamed “pick me”.
Not sure of his fitness level but I would pick Sonsie ahead of him next week if they felt he was fit enough.
The Sonz looked in good touch in the practice matches

yeah you think Sonz ahead,

but no reason we can't drop MRJ and bring both in.

Play the kids with composure.

de-list the kids without composure.

The C word.

he struck me as a Tim Tarranto, who can kick

One door closes & another opens. Fingers crossed he's a ripper.
So this. Let's roll the dice. A lot of people are excited by this lad and have been for a while.

It would be so nice to unerath a true midfield player, we haven't done it in so long.

Chuck him and Sonsie in.

Sonsie, Mcauliffe, Clarke, Brown = footskills and smarts.

Don't want to be a wet blanket but should we give the kid some games at VFL level for points before elevating him to the big time? Not suggesting he's not showing good signs but up till now they have only been practice matches.
