Kamdyn McIntosh

with alot of experience leaving I think it's a good idea to give Kmac one more year. He's still physically able to run hard and apply pressure. The kids are going to need some physical support out there.

Agree. Still good. Just 30 not older, so worth keeping for a while.

Im not commenting on what he used to be able to do reasonably. He quite clearly is playing like a dud with very little value as a player.
I have no interest in the past i want what is best for us on field now.
You on the other hand cannot be objective in any way because you cling to the past like its some sort of life line.

Last one we actually have 21 22 23 year olds screaming out for a game in every role McIntosh can play. Last time i looked we won just two games with an ageing list if we cannot delist 30 plus year old underperformers when we need to then it is going to be a long old rebuild.

Give me one good footy reason why we should keep him other than your stupid sub theory.

Oh and don't fret yourself im going to pot any player who performs as badly as your sub.
If he was as horrible as you'd suggest, how'd he get so many votes in our B&F?

You know the coaching staff give everyone a rating of 0-5 each match, right? So for him - regardless of where he finished - to be getting votes means he must have been doing something the coaches were asking him to do.

It's kinda like Old High German language. Just because you can't look at it and understand it, doesn't mean there wasn't value to someone else.

Ok so KMac is playing on , I’d much rather give his Wing to a young cub , not sure I think him playing forward does a lot for him and more importantly the future of the club , so I’m not against KMac becoming Ktag , our cubs in the middle are going to get smashed quite often, I think if Ktag can help nullify the oppositions extractors it will help the cubs , he’s big, strong, disciplined and runs all day

I’d like to know who are these plethora of 21, 22 & 23 year olds we’ve got at the club who can be relied upon to slot into the team as required. Could have used them last season.

I don't get the animosity towards flappers. He is a premiership hero and a fantastic role player who busts his gut for the club (and us supporters).

We can all see he is not the player he was at his peak, yes if handled poorly could be blocking a kid from getting games, but he is a bloody legend and deserves our respect.

there's gonna be alot of spots open for the young kids. Kmac won't be denying any of the kids of a spot.

I think some posters on here are forgetting what Kmac brings to the CLUB, not just the team. His mentoring of young men, his team & club 1st attitude, work rate & training excellence & lastly he's just a fantastic team mate.

Staggered by people thinking this is the right move.

Wouldn't get on any other AFL list. He wasn't linked to another club.

But we gave him another year. Sigh.

Wouldn't be surprised if he gets more 2nds games. Depth. Hoping the injuries don't mount again.

I dunno mate, seems he probably could have got a gig at West Coast.

They've become the greedy beagle under our table at dinner. Just hanging round to see what scraps might fall on the floor to snap up.

To go against opinion, I reckon giving KMac another year is worthwhile. He can still play a valuable role within the club, mentor the kids, fill in as a matchday sub and do the carpentry around the club at a reduce rate

That all sounds just great with one big problem though. He doesnt play any position well any more.

Wing no thanks i was over his fumbles and poor disposal years ago. Others have indeed gone past his very low current bench mark.
The game has changed as well and is demanding we change with it.

Forward fair dinkum id rather we kept Cumberland. Play Bauer there instead or god forbid another kpf in Gray.
How many smalls do we have clamoring for a game as well ? thats not to mention if we draft say a kid like Berry or Hotton.

Defence seriously in front of who? Smith Trezise are two that say hello Bauer a backline option Brown we are not seriously considering playing him in front of any of them are we. Travaglia and Imo Oliver has to be on our radar as well.

What about for needed experience? Well that is just a plain old crop of rubbish. There is plenty of experience spread thru the team for next year.
How does a fumbling panic merchant who turns it over way too often help anyone.

Does his onfield form warrant us keeping him ? Plain honest answer is NO. That is supported by the fact that statistically he is coming off his worst ever season and he has had his share over the years.

Its not 2020 people but will be 2025, five years since the last flag and it is way past the point where we need to stop living in the past.
Thats is the argument for delisting, imo it is a darn strong one.

Oh by the way we don't owe Kamdyn a damn thing. We have provided him with premierships and a long lucrative career when others may not have.
Hate to bring up my own post but i can't be bothered writing it all again.

Theres your argument for delisting.

All anyone has come up with for keeping him is.

He will make a great sub lol. Thats as dumb as ive heard.

We are bereft of experience and need him for that. What a crop of poo that is. Ignoring a fact doesn't make it disappear.
Do i really have to list all of the experienced players we will likely play next year.

He is a great clubman and we need him around. If thats is the case delist him and have him play in the ressies or give him a job around the club.
If being a good clubman is a valid reason he does not need to be on the list to do it.

Oh yeah we have to keep him because he finished in the top 11 in the b&f he can't have been bad.
I cannot speak for the club but the vast majority here have all said he was pretty ordinary.

Maybe the simple fact was he was one of eleven players who played 19 games or more. So of those with any sort of chance of winning it he finished you guessed it 11th of eleven. He was mostly poor to the eye, so many fumbles poor kicks and just plain old running himself into trouble time and again. Statistically he was very poor something that actually supports how poor he was..

Where do we play him

Wing - Really i can only ask why would you.? HRS, Banks have gone past him Seth Campbell should be tried there along with Smith Trezise. and even Brown. Not to mention any top 20 draftee we may take for the role. Apart from Smith and Campbell what age group are these players in. They need exposure at the level.

Play him as a forward again really. We have a pile of smalls that we must find out about. Who doesnt want to find out what Bauer can do at age 22 along with Grey Lynch Kossie and Lefau there is not a role for him.

How about in defense. its the same story he is way behind others.

If keeping him means we don't use all of our nd picks then that is a very poor decision. As others have said we have picks one in both the psd and rookie drafts as well where an upgrade should be a real possibility.

Any way there is the case for not keeping him.

Where is the case for keeping him apart from he is a good bloke. Anyone. Can anyone come up with one good footy reason or list reason why we should keep him.

The real reason people want him around is simple. they are still living in the past can't delist a favorite now can we.

Where finishing last
Regardless of these two signings we were always going to be near the bottom.

In some ways i can understand why we would keep Dow. Its called a very severe shortage of mids of any description.
But surely ability and performance has to come into play at some stage..
McIntosh Why we would keep an underperforming 30yr old whose role we have covered is bewildering.

Are we now blowing a chance to use 8 very good nd picks or Taking a mature upgrade in the psd.

Well sounds like the club agrees with me and not with you. I'll take those "facts" over your crap opinions.

I've already given you a description of the value that Kmac gives us, you may think its a "stupid sub theory" but you'd be wrong.
Are you a child its like hooray the club thinks im right, funny if it wasn't so sad.
Thats right the duffel coat brigade wouldn't even think to question if the club has it right.
Lucky some around here do ask those questions hey.

Sorry bud but it is a stupid theory well imo of course.
