Kamdyn McIntosh

I dunno mate, seems he probably could have got a gig at West Coast.

They've become the greedy beagle under our table at dinner. Just hanging round to see what scraps might fall on the floor to snap up.
Last time i looked wet toast were getting rid of 30yr old underperformers.

Everybody talks about how bad our list is, and then claim that KMac is not in the best 22/23. I call bollocks. KMac gets games on merit. Yes, he is not as good as he once was, but he fills gaps and still contributes.

Happy to see him re-signed.

Dow on the other hand . . .

My gut feeling is the Dow and Kam signatures are list transition decisions. (With all respect to the players). I would not have contracted them but understand why they were contracted based on our list demographic.

The list demographic tells us that we probably should keep Dow, not that i would, and get rid of McIntosh.
Both do not perform well enough to be retained imo.

The list of mids or lack there of likely played a part in us keeping Prestia as well.

Imo we have McIntosh covered in what ever role it is he plays. His usual role is wing better option abound. Ross, Banks, HRS, Trezise, Smith could play there Campbell can be moved up the ground we could draft a better kid and option than all of them.

Dow is just one of how many mids. Prestia, Taranto, Hopper, McAuliffe and Sonsie.
This can be the only reason why we would keep him list demographics.
The better option would have been to look for a simple upgrade among the dfa's and state leagues for both.

My guess is that Mac was told he’ll be depth and mainly playing VFL unless injuries hit bad again. You hear this story a bit and sometimes injuries or circumstances necessitate playing said veteran and they become part of the best 22.

So much hot air on this thread my phone started to rise out of my hands all by itself.

Geez, it’s not that difficult to understand. If we got rid of all the players not in the top 24 of a ‘top 4 side’ we’d have no one left at this stage of our development after 3 flags in an environment designed to equalise the competition.

We have to field a minimum squad and we only have so many good draft picks and plenty of vacancies.

The last few making up the numbers will always be a line ball between all the types being argued for against the KMac types. In the end, that decision is really not going to make much of a difference (if any at all).

As if the list managers don’t know all this. 🙄

Every list is critical on a rebuild. Would much rather use the last list spot on a Riley Bice type who is better at VFL level than McIntosh right now and could become a 5 year player at AFL level.

One thing I do like about the club giving Kmac a bonus year is he stayed loyal throughout our success, he was controversially left out of 2019 , knocked back better offers to go home , unlike Ellis, Butler, Higgins, CJ , Bolton, DRioli, Baker, Graham and could be others who basically all left for better money , KMac stayed on and I kinda like that the clubs rewarded him for his loyalty. I hope like hell Broady got a nice bonus in his latest contract too .

Maybe, maybe not. Fair enough.

Exactly.
Everyone here bagging players for leaving and lack of loyalty but very quick to dump and discard loyal, hard working players as soon as they’re on the decline
Can’t have it both ways

Good afternoon Brighty. What information do u have that suggests that Leon, Shai or Daniel left for more money?

Hate to bring up my own post but i can't be bothered writing it all again.

Theres your argument for delisting.

All anyone has come up with for keeping him is.

He will make a great sub lol. Thats as dumb as ive heard.

We are bereft of experience and need him for that. What a crop of poo that is. Ignoring a fact doesn't make it disappear.
Do i really have to list all of the experienced players we will likely play next year.

He is a great clubman and we need him around. If thats is the case delist him and have him play in the ressies or give him a job around the club.
If being a good clubman is a valid reason he does not need to be on the list to do it.

Oh yeah we have to keep him because he finished in the top 11 in the b&f he can't have been bad.
I cannot speak for the club but the vast majority here have all said he was pretty ordinary.

Maybe the simple fact was he was one of eleven players who played 19 games or more. So of those with any sort of chance of winning it he finished you guessed it 11th of eleven. He was mostly poor to the eye, so many fumbles poor kicks and just plain old running himself into trouble time and again. Statistically he was very poor something that actually supports how poor he was..

Where do we play him

Wing - Really i can only ask why would you.? HRS, Banks have gone past him Seth Campbell should be tried there along with Smith Trezise. and even Brown. Not to mention any top 20 draftee we may take for the role. Apart from Smith and Campbell what age group are these players in. They need exposure at the level.

Play him as a forward again really. We have a pile of smalls that we must find out about. Who doesnt want to find out what Bauer can do at age 22 along with Grey Lynch Kossie and Lefau there is not a role for him.

How about in defense. its the same story he is way behind others.

If keeping him means we don't use all of our nd picks then that is a very poor decision. As others have said we have picks one in both the psd and rookie drafts as well where an upgrade should be a real possibility.

Any way there is the case for not keeping him.

Where is the case for keeping him apart from he is a good bloke. Anyone. Can anyone come up with one good footy reason or list reason why we should keep him.

The real reason people want him around is simple. they are still living in the past can't delist a favorite now can we.
What long winded nonsense to do nothing other than pot a player for kicks.

Finished 11th in the B&F this year and ninth the year before. In the last three years he's played 22, 22 and 21 games. He has been a valuable contributor, and clearly has a lot to offer. He's not a list clogger, he's a role player.
