I thought he was recruited to strengthen our midfield? Aparantly not good enough to play in our all star midfield (which is why miles isnt getting a game), as according to hardwick we are just in adbundance of stars in the guts. And too short to play as a key forward. Not smart or nimble enough to play as a goalsneak crumbimg forward.

So what did we recruit a decoy for Jack? If so we may aswell kept vickery cos that worked so well for us.
A dogs breakfast it seems to me. Recrutment and coaching has been diabolical!

He averages 17 touches a game and 0.66 goals a game but that's not the issue. The question is was he recruited as a forward ( and if so is he being successful? and did we require a 187cm forward?) or was he recruited as the big bodied mid we so desperately required ( and if so why isn't he being played there?)
Well well well....article in HUN quotes Dimma "he's been ok, he could play better no doubt about that. We probably haven't settled him in a position and we probably ask him to play a role that is a little bit outside the scope that we got him here for"

He's another of the players being remoulded.

He's coming up short ATM. But I much prefer Caddy's urgent to Prestia's listless. Caddy's ball use can be even worse just not as often.

Re: Welcome to Tigerland - Josh Caddy

I think Caddy's peak is coming now. He's at his best in the winter months when it is a slog. Does anyone know what his mid/forward TOG is?

Re: Welcome to Tigerland - Josh Caddy

Just to clarify on Caddy's "elite" ranking on AFL players rating done by champion data.

The complicated algorithm that has Josh on 407.5 points and coming fourth in his category of mid/forward is calculated on his last 40 games! (As are everyone's)

So that's part of season 2015, 2016 and into 2017. I bet if the ranking were done on 2017 he wouldn't be "elite".

Similarly Shed is also ranked "elite" and is ranked 5th in the mid/forward category with 387.5 points....and he hasn't played since rd 2!

Dimma mentioned in his presser yesterday that he thought Caddy had a bit of improvement in him. But said that was partly because we were asking him to play a role that he was not brought in for (i.e. effectively a key forward) :pullhair

Imagine if the CEO of a CBA or BHP came out at a shareholder call and said things like "OK" and "could do better" and used "probably" twice in the same sentence. The stock would plummet.

I know it might seem like nitpicking, but these are pretty uninspiring declarations from a leader in charge of a multi million dollar business, let alone someone whose job it is to inpsire men to go into battle each week.

Could he be any more wishywashy? I wonder what his half time addresses are like.

That's an interesting thought provoking post Evo

Cheers. Arts degrees aren't the most valuable pursuits if you want a high paid career but they are useful in noticing poor use of language.

In all seriousness, next time Dimma goes on an off season sabbatical to the U.S it would be money well spent to send him to a few talks by experts in powerful public speaking. He'd get great benefit from listening to guys like Wayne Dwyer, Bob Proctor or Robert Kyosaki on how to inspire people.

BHP CEO: "We have managed to extract iron ore profitably at various stages. Reality is lron ore is hard to get out of the ground. But we just focus on what we can control and the profits should take care of themselves"

Re: Welcome to Tigerland - Josh Caddy

Imagine if Hardwick was more honest with his language..
'Josh has been average. When Blair sang his praises, we expected better but he's a bit of a beige plodder at his 3rd club, who's filling gaps for now. Not really sure he was worth pick 20 something and can see why the Cats weren't all that unhappy to lose him as he's yet to cement a spot in the midfield or up forward. That boy Parfitt looks pretty good though.'

This is spot on.

Re: Welcome to Tigerland - Josh Caddy

Now that Dimma has acknowledged this oddity of traded for a guy on the premise of playing him more in the midfield but playing him as a forward I ask the question: why have we done this? Seems odd.

Fiction, doesn't include a single 'Thus far'

Re: Welcome to Tigerland - Josh Caddy

I like him but he has to start to playing like seasoned every quarter player....................

Look, Rio Tinto are a very very good mining company, they are going to outperform many mining companies this quarter. We know that within our long walls that we have the capacity to produce value, and we know that we can remain a going concern for our loyal shareholders. Given our March results, we hope that this all goes well for the future.
