Better, at least looked like he was giving %90 today about %65 more then normal.

I actually thought Schulz was one of our better players yesterday.

His work rate was higher than usual but most pleasing was his great snap for goal from ground level.
That's an aspect of his game that's been missing.

Encouraging.

Not too bad yesterday but along way from a 4 quarter effort.

give him the fwd 50 with brown....and have hughes at chf and richo coming off the bench. Serioulsy this kid can play...just give him some room and some opportunities...richo needs to learn this club is just about done with him as our one man wonder....we need to start finding multiple options or we are stuffed.

Schulz seems incapable of kicking more than 2 goals a game, not surprisingly his junior days a guy who showed occasional brilliance but very little consistency.

His game was the same as every other game he has played. Gets some ball early then disappears. Another 8 possession game, 2 goals, k there's a bonus but as suggested by others, just goes missing for too long.

And, gee am going to rue the day we no longer have Richo and the same people complaining about him now, will be crying the fact that we don't have a Richo in our forward line. Can you seriously right now imagine a forward line without Richo and Brown? Right now we are pinning our hopes on Schulz, Hughes and to a lesser extent Reiwoldt as our future key forward line. Are we confident?

Another game where Schulz is crucified because he plays in a *smile* club

Will we be singing the same tune about Cleve Hughes very soon

I reckon we will be. If i was a forward I would basically retire rather then bother being drafted to Richmond. Why would you want to be a forward at our club?!?!?!

Ha ha I was just saying to someone last night that Buddy Love and Roughneck would struggle for a kick if they were at Richmond. Last nights delivery into the forward line was back to the bad old days of bomb it long and hope.

As I said last week other side have quickly realised you shut Foley down you shut Richmond down.

Schulz played under duress last night with balls landing on his head half the time. Hawthorn showed us how to deliver the ball and create space.

We have looked ok going forward over recent weeks but last night was back to the days of panic and bomb it long. No wonder our forwards get frustrated.

What really concerns me is out midfield at the moment. No Foley No Tigers.

classic today in the first quarter when Schulz had done his man and was gonna jump as third man for an easy mark 15m out from Edwards' kick - Richo, fo reasons only known to him, pushes Croad into Schulz who goes sprawling and Richo gave away free kick. Story of Jay's life - impossible to share a forward line with Richo.

Anyway, Jay, like most of the side today had a good 1st half and wasn't sighted in the second.

And people say he is the key to our fwd line! This forward line would be better off without him. We will never succeed with him anywhere near or forward line. Richo has messed with our forward line since he arrived. His petulant displays rightly deserve the pasting he cops from other teams. Put the semimental attitude aside and build a forward line around someone else...anyone else....

Tough Times Tough Decisions

What a load of rubbish. Get the ball into the forward line quickly and honor the leads of the forwards. Its the midfield thats the problem, just like the end of the modra era at adelaide. Richo is one of the best and most consistent contested marks in the game, why is is it so hard for the rest of the team to get out of his way ?

Absolutely correct. Great comment.

forward lines need to work together and until richo is still no 1 we are going nowhere

schulz needs to harden up and not just crash packs but actually work for a full game like richo has for 10 years

not holding my breath though

This type of comment is just a reflective of why the RFC has been where they have been for the past 15 years whilst we continue to have and kick it to one person in the forward line. Bloody naive in the least, bloody plain stupid overall. And yes we are all allowed our opinions and you have yours and i certainly have mine. We will not come close to a premiership with Richo in the forward line. Simple as that.

yep spot on tubs

lets enjoy richo this week but i hope that we get back to the eagles game forward line setup the sooner the better

Could explain his performance I suppose

Absolutely typical. Blame the full forward, when in fact the real problem is that no one can a) get the ball in the midfield or b) kick the thing with any accuracy to honor the great leads that richo provides.

I am not saying lets isolate 1 forward to get all our goals. Its not like west coast dont rely heavily on lynch now is it ?

Never seems to be Schulz's fault
