Hopefully you will be proven wrong but unfortunately I'm not sure you will be.
 
Schulz was much better today from limited opportunities and with terrible delivery into the forward line.
Also worked harder on the defensive aspects of his game and laid some good tackles.
 
Someone rang MMM before thegame, and stated he had been told at an AFG function that Schulz, Krakouer, Moore and Knobel, would not be at the club next year. Sorry if this has been raised already.

After today, i'd suspect Hartigan may join them.
 
played well today but ,why oh why, when schulz has his man beat does richo drag his man to the contest where his opponent goes 3rd man up and allows them to take the ball away so easily. schulz needs to play out of the square. ONE OUT

Better, at least looked like he was giving %90 today about %65 more then normal.
 
Great goal.

I doubt he played much over 60% of the game. If they are going to bring him in the should be played at FF for the whole game.

I happy with what Jay did and at least showed that we can't be pushed around. That prick Brown is a real dog.

That free kick was pathetic.
Whistle went for a Richmond free kick.
Brown continues on and slings Shulz into the ground with force unnecessarily.
Shulz rightfully remonstrates and pushes Brown in the Chest/Shoulder.
Brown goes down holding his face like he's been shot (similar to the eye gouge with Judd).
Free kick get reversed in favour of Brown.

Free kick should not have been reversed.
Jay stood up for himself and I would have been disappointed if he did anything other.
Can only think the coaching staff saw it that way too and hence why he wasn't dragged.

I thought his efforts today were good and although in the minority would like to see him play every game until the end of the year.
 
classic today in the first quarter when Schulz had done his man and was gonna jump as third man for an easy mark 15m out from Edwards' kick - Richo, fo reasons only known to him, pushes Croad into Schulz who goes sprawling and Richo gave away free kick. Story of Jay's life - impossible to share a forward line with Richo.

Anyway, Jay, like most of the side today had a good 1st half and wasn't sighted in the second.

Just beat me to it OET.

Also why wasnt Sarge rewarded in the third quarter for that tackle in the forward line when we were 10 points down?! Certainly looked like holding the ball. No replay on Ch7 ::)

And people say he is the key to our fwd line! This forward line would be better off without him. We will never succeed with him anywhere near or forward line. Richo has messed with our forward line since he arrived. His petulant displays rightly deserve the pasting he cops from other teams. Put the semimental attitude aside and build a forward line around someone else...anyone else....
