Agree. I've been watching Parker for 2 years and was counting down to our pick 30 getting happier and happier that Parker was still available. Was gutted when we didn't call his name out :(

Batchelor does look a bit unco. Appears to be a left footer as I never saw him use his right in the highlights package.

I've seen Dandenong play around 5 or 6 times in two years and, every time I saw them, Parker got me excited. It says something that I don't ever recall seeing Batchelor play (possibly because I was so focused on Parker) in those games.

maybe u ought to look a bit closer. he certainly did use his right foot a couple of times when he had to

Re: Pick 30 - Jake Batchelor

I know that Collingwood had Batchelor locked in for one of there picks in the 40's.

Hopefully he can step up pretty quickly.

i know collingwood had D-Mac pencilled in for a late pick as well. looks like we've taken two players they were keen on.

They may have gone a bit earlier than expected but if Collingwood with all it's resources and good record of picking the kids, had their eye on them maybe we're on the right track.

Maybe but Collingwood did take Fasolo at 45 and Farmer at 46. Think they got the better players in their opinion so they were'nt that keen.
They also took Ugle at 60 who this week had been talked about as a WC early pick.

how tall is Ugle. Doesn't look like he's over 5"3.

Did his uncle play for WC a number of years back?

Re: Pick 30 - Jake Batchelor

all i say is people get a grip , these kids are only new to the afl Parker may or not be a good player but i have put my faith in dimma this year because he has.t put a foot wrong yet.So i respect his destition in whom we have drafted as on a need basis .I beleive we are on the wright track :clap

Re: Pick 30 - Jake Batchelor

Thought he was impressive on the highlights. Clean hands, one grab mark and won a lot of one on ones. High hopes.

agree. solid pick. very composed and directs traffic from the back half. decent delivery also. reminds me of a current or former afl player - can't put my finger on it.

If Batch was there he would of been picked before Farmer. Fasolo was a steal.

Why do you think Farmer is the better player? Batchelor won a best and fairest in a very good side this year, he would of played champs if not for injury. What makes Farmer the better player in your opinion?

Re: Pick 30 - Jake Batchelor

I like his contested marks in defence in the highlights, also his run and carry.

Handy with a couple fake outs too!

They also had 3 picks after that before promoting Blair, one used on Ugle.
