I saw some of that "mental pressure" in the goalsquare in front of the PRE!! Liked that.

Yeah that was a good example! MMM guys commented that other sides will take note and the kid will have a tough time for the next few weeks.

Thought he was exceptional in the last qtr. was Rance like.

Ha ha ha that gave me a good laugh. Wins 2 one on ones after another very average game and all of a sudden his is Rance like! Please

His attack at the ball after leaving his man with tennis he minutes to go was superb, match winning effort if that ball got past him we probally would have lost as it was a certain goal

His committment at that contest earned him my lifetime respect award.

I thought it was Grimes at the time. Agree that was fantastic commitment at the ball.

No worries Rancey... he was up in the young fellas face for a lot of the game when the ball was down the other end... lots of lip and pushing. The time in the goalsquare in front of the cheersquad in the third was the most apparent. Pretty funny. Batch seems like a tough cookie so if it were me copping it I wouldn't have enjoyed it either.

Batchelor was great. Still makes 1 or two howler disposals when not under pressure (the Cotchin forearm strikewas a result of very poor disposal from Batchwhen two Tigers were on their own) but overall he's been worth his weight in gold this year.

Glad to hear it - its about time we start bullying other teams around.

Did it a bit against Sydney too, and they clearly didn't like it. It's taken a while, but Hardwick may have introduced unsociable football down at Punt Rd, and Jake's part of that.

Just saw the mellee replay. Still can't figure out why Batchelor got fined. What I did notice was how he ended up beating Mccarthy in the wrestle. This is what I like about him in the team. Strength in body and mind. Did Gerard Healy give him a massive wrap during the game?

They didn't give any Richmond players a massive wrap, they were too busy barracking for GWS, but Healy may have said something complimentary about the way Jake attacked the contest.

The game on tv reflected much more wachable than the game at the ground. We have Gerald to thank for this as I felt we were overcoming the AFL equivalent of the Harlem Globetrotters or some such juggernaut of invincibility.
