Jake Batchelor

It was a step back for Jake offensively on the weekend after 20 touches the other week. He hardly touched it.

But he's a big part of a defensive unit that is the hardest team to score against the last few weeks (rough guess, haven't done the figures). Breaking that up right now would be silly.

If Batchelor proves to be half as good as fellow #11, Lawrie Fowler, then the RFC will have a decent footballer in its midst.

Said it before but he is a Graeme Landy re-incarnate

How about Dennis Commetti's comment about Batchelor being such a good user of the football (and he wasn't being ironic)? Coming on the back of the Freo game in which he said Dylan Grimes was a high draft pick, I'm starting to wonder if Dennis is losing it.

Let's not kid ourselves. Jake Batchelor is well in the bottom 10% of AFL players.

Lost senility long time ago.

Batch is probably the last defender picked. We've come a long way and we're building depth.

Wouldn't mind seeing Dea get his gig for a couple of weeks

Why? Batch has done a great job this year.
Dea would know that he is back line injury insurance ATM just as McDonough would know that he is midfield injury insurance.

I reckon there very similar , however I think Dea is a fraction more versatile then Batchelor and his VFL form warrants a call up, Batchelors been ok but was ordinary Friday night

Dea can play on smaller quicker players, but Batchelor can play on talls.

Who did Batchelor play on? whoever it was didnt do much.
as long as our backline keeps working well i cant see them dropping him.

They won't drop him Broders an that's fair enough, I just wouldn't mind seeing Dea at the top level for a last chance, I like his overall improvement , no big deal really don't think there's a huge difference

I do too, but given the choice between them, I'd go Batchelor every time. Dea's had his chances and been unable to cement a spot in the side. I doubt he'll be on the list next season.
