Jake Batchelor

Jeez I was ready to leave the Batchelor Party.

I felt like vomiting and all the good looking sheilas had left.

Then, at around 5 o'clock in the morning, Jakey finds another keg and it's all on again.

Solid again, playing the best footy his played at the club, pretty much the whole back half is atm
Once again - all credit to him - he did well.
FWIW - he's playing better than I thought he could.

im still a little unsure about his place in the line-up. he needs to play as the 3rd tall, which he does alright. but when we have opposition with tall forwards like Carlisle and Daniher (198cm+) it leaves us exposed for options. we had no choice but to have Chaplin on one of them, fortunately he was able to keep Daniher reasonably quiet.
i reckon we are rolling the dice a little and so far getting away with it, but not having a true 3rd tall might bite us against some sides, of if we have a mid-game injury to Rance or Chaplin.

'Course not. Man buns are for betas. Alphas don't need to peacock.
I noticed that Arnott also had a new do in the VFL, maybe he and Batch got a 2 for 1 deal. He had another solid contribution. When you don't notice players like him I think it's good, because they generally tend to get noticed for the things they do wrong. Who was he on?

A combination of Ambrose and Cooney.

quite like Jake. had a couple of shockers but who hasn't in their life? his opponents didn't do a lot last night. the haircut works for me. the backline are doing a great job and he is part of that.

This bloke had a very good game. Showed real maturity and poise. His aggression and skill levels look to be up. He's won me.

Still mehhhh.........5 touches in a backline that played a spare most of the night. Not good enough.

I don't know the stats but definatly had Maynes measure in the air, as a critic I was very happy with his one on ones, don't think he got beat much

this is a classic case with the backline where the sum of the parts is greater than each individual part (apart from Rancie) - they have individually all stepped up over the last 5 games
