Underrated defender. Gets far too much criticism vs what he adds. Plays his role well. I like him.

Will get better.

Yep. He's a lot better than you read about.

I've resuscitated the old Jakey avatar in honour of his performance today.

I noticed that. Good stuff.

Also good stuff by the batchelor, very solid. Hope he can keep the form up and cement his spot.

Absolutely lifted, and from when he kicked that goal you could see he was in for a decent day. It was funny to see him with the skinhead haircut, because it came just after the commentators said that Hinckley had ordered some of the Port players to get haircuts and then Batch waltzes in with the number 1.

1 ok game in 8 still a long way short of a pass mark. That needs to be the bare minimum level of performance for him to hold his place

He's had more than one OK game.

There's been media commentators (largely radio) who've sung his praises this year. Non-Richmond (some Richmond hating) commentators who've said he's a good defender. He's a good mark, and is better than average at using his body. On the negative his disposal\decision making has been ordinary at best in some games this year.

But, I'm probably wasting my fingertips, as you'll look to criticise any of your favourites at every opportunity :)

agree - he has stepped up again this year and has proved that him holding down a spot in the last half of last year was no fluke. He still makes the odd mistake (like trying to mark and not punch late in the Collingwood game) but is more than serviceable and the contributions he makes to the 22 far outways the negatives (in my view)

Mature.

Liked it.

No longer the loose man around town. Plays like a man with responsibilities.

Either that or he had a threesome the night before. With sisters.

Can you tell me what his other ok game was this year? I must have missed it.

I must admit. This was my first thought as he played well yesterday.
