Jack Ross

yeah, pretty clear that's mini's strategy No. 4 - maybe we'll see a rejig next season or if we get another tall working up forward for us this year.

Neither winger got much of the ball yesterday- maybe cos it lived in the f50s for long periods, and most of the time we moved the ball from our backline to our forwardline it was in the hands of DRioli.

Gaff started as sub then went onto a wing and found it 24 times Brodders , however as I’ve said our wingman generally as a whole only find it 30-40 times a game , it’s one thing I like about Ross’s game over the defensive combo of Pickett and Mac , he runs forward and presence as a switch forward option

Gaff attended 8 centre bounces. and chases easy kicks- one thing our wingers dont do. and didnt have DRioli running the ball from the D50 to the F50.

Im just making excuses! yes both our wings were quiet- hard to know exactly why.

Got the points that’s all that matters .

Ross looking comfortably at the level now. Minimizng errors and doing some good things in multiple consecutive games.

yeah and again delivered well to a target inside 50 unlike our usual bomb it long to Jaaaaack who's manned up by three gorillas

he's very good in traffic ... has that thing where play appears to slow down .. it's a rare quality

I totally agree. Strong marker and beautifully balance kicking style in front of goals. Got back to assist a few times.

He did say in an interview in his first season that he wanted to captain the club one day..
Wouldn't be close to it atm though.
Our 2 current captains were both playing their 1st full season of AFL at the same age, so he is following in their footsteps.

15 touches. 4SI. 4CP. Hit a ground ball real hard.

Started brightly with classy use then went quiet. May have got attention. May have tightened up. Anybody get to the game?
Our wingers average low numbers.
KMac 15 disposals. His best 9 goals in a season.
Pickett very similar, just under 15 disposals and best 8 goals in a year.

Ross tracking similar numbers but often sub-games and 6 goals from half a season. Think we'll see more from JR. Stocks rising.
