Look structurally he helped but against better opposition they will work him over.
Some efforts were comical at times and non competitive. Thought he had some mongrel in him.

21 year old. I can't remember too many consistent and dominating ruckmen at that age. Even Gawn, probably the most improved a couple of years ago, didn't really start excelling until 23yo. Give him games for experience. He has upside, just a question of how much.

Tigerlove I'm with you on this .

I advocated for him and still prepared to continue. We should have possibly kept going when he was in the side.

Nank really was starting to struggle.

No coincidence that Nank was back.

At the ground though Soldo still learning where to go, when to mark, when to call for the ball & when to block for team mates.

Preservere

Still very much a work in progress.

Would omit him for Elton, who, whilst also not the long term answer provides a more consistent contest.

Personally, I hope Elton never plays senoir footy again. He played one(?) decent quarter in multiple weeks.

As others have said, soldo in the ruck released Nank forward, which has got to be a win.

Elton is 24? & has peaked, Ivan is 21 & has a lot of improvement in him. I hope they keep him in until Griffiths (hopefully) returns, the experience will help Ivan develop enormously.

I think Elton offers more mobility .
Soldo run off way too easy when forward, basically hopeless.
Needs to learn in the 2's
Elton for me until Griffiths

Correct mate.

Just not ready. Needs go abck to reserves and continue honing his craft and fitness.
Disagree, Soldo does more than Elton and we don't want to thrash Nank out before we even get to the finals. Nank is almost our most important player.

Soldo can learn in big boy pants.

Yeah, maybe. He is a liability outside of his tapwork ATM though.

Just not fit enough to get to enough contests and extremely shaky dropping back into the hole.

Also, little idea up forward so tends to rest on the bench instead which impacts our rotations and run.

Doesn't change who plays now

And that appears to be Soldo. 56% game time and managed 21 hitouts, 8 disposals, 3 contested, 2 clearances, 4 tackles. He's very raw but he's tracking ok.

I am anti-Soldo, just he is not ready and as a forward is an absolute liability in that his opponent totally exposes him, happened heaps of times.
I watched the game don't need your stats.
If Nak is out by all means play him.
Mobility is going to be an issue for him going forward. Imagine him trying to go with a Kreuzer or the like

I realise you are anti Soldo. And I disagree, I think stats are important to track how a player is progressing and impacting. Those stats are not bad for a 3 gamer. Kreuzer was a number 1 draft pick, yet it took him a while to show his worth (admittedly he's had a few injuries). He's still learning the caper. Far too young to be writing him off. We need another tall in there to help Nankervis. And we have two to choose from currently. And I pick Soldo over Elton.

Im not too fazed to be honest as of righht now i just know that somebodb has to play to give Toby a breather he was labouring before yesterday it was obvious hence Soldos inclusion.

hardwick said in his presser that he wants to see more of nank and saldo working in tandem.

Soldo is staying in against the Giants

Agree that we can't afford to burn Nank out but Leysy has a point re Soldo ability outside of tapwork.

Hopefully Griff makes it all moot in a couple of games time.

Soldos biggest weakness is that he has no idea how to spoil while helping out in defense.

Need truck and Leppa to train him hard this week on this.

If he can improve this part of his game, it will make a big difference
