I'm getting a man crush on this bloke. He's just a warrior.
Spot on. The passion he's shown for this club since day 1 of being recruited is exemplary. Greatly admire Ivan. Perhaps our best ruckman since Benny Gale? Maybe even Michael Green.

Mark of the player that when being beaten sticks at it. And still did good stuff and then in last lifted himself and team over line. Genuine ruck man still essential to big time success. Great game Ivan. Shoved it up Paddy in the end.

Love the bloke as a player and a man. A champion of the western suburbs. Best ruckman since the General and don't say Otto was better he was below par. for us.

He's the last ruck we've had worth anything since Stafford.

He got owned badly.Respect to him for standing up when it counted in the last, but its obvious that we need to start hunting for his sucessor.

interesting clearance stats.
centre clearances were 6-15 bummers way
around the ground were 28-9 our way.

Colossus. Can't jump, but heroic. Ryder jumped all over him at centre bounces but around the ground, when he could lay a bit of body, Eevaahn cleaned him up.

And evo, I reckon his successor might have been out there tonight.

A lot of love in this thread. and rightly so.

there was a 10 minute spell, where Ivan and The Chimp became one.

It was eery. A giant, slavic chimp with a mullet. Controlling the game. Wrestling it our way. Like Geelong do.

As is often the case with ruckmen in big games; Ivan wasnt the best man on the ground, but he was the most important, by a fair way.

Yeah agree, that's why i was happy with Griffo going into the ruck early as I thought Ivan just didnt have the jump in the centre bounces especially in the first half to go with them. The man is still one of my favourites though. Plays with all his heart no matter what.

Did he get owned ? I thought he was very good with the way he plays and Ryder was good the way he plays. At the end Ivvy was too tough for Ryder and Ryder became his woman so to speak. Ivan finished the game whilst I reckon Ryder looked on with envy.

The way he stands up in a pack - or walks back into a pack - and holds the mark :clap

Reminds me of Benny Gale :clap

Has made such a difference to the team in recent weeks :clap

Love the big fella's attitude and contribution to the Tigers.
Maric, however, needs quality support if RFC want to get another two, possibly three, decent years from him. The role of second ruck becomes even more important next year. It's paramount that Griffiths or Vickery stand up over the pre-season and play a significant role in the ruck during season 2015.
