He was beaten at the taps, but big around the ground when and where he needed to be. I love his post game interviews. How he answers everything in that low calm voice, he's actually scary. Make a great Bond villain.

He made the next Eeevarn sound like a Soviet spy.

Geez his massive to us...hopefully stays fit an we get another 3 years out of him, hopefully his cuz or another youngster can come on in that time

Loved his quote at the end of the interview.

"Big game next week. Mumford. Bring it oonnn."

Such a crucial player for the Tigers. Even on those occasions where he might be beaten time in the ruck, his influence around the ground and his willingness to attack the contest and keep on competing is invaluable. Long may he stay fit and healthy ... and keep on developing the scary man image!

His absence had a lot to do with our less than ideal start to the season. It was acknowledged by the commentators, too.

Absence definitely makes the heart grow fonder.

We've seen how much we have missed Ivan, Lids and Rancey this year, all have missed significant chunks of the season.

Never going to amass huge hitout numbers but his work around the ground and in contests, makes Hampson look even worse.

Hard to argue that point vs GWS, Hampson was 2nd BOG when we last played GWS and we won by over 100 points.

So because in one isolated game where Hampson played well and we won, that shows we haven't missed Ivan? Brilliant logic.

More relevant they were missing all their key backs last time and we played Jack, TV, and Gilff who killed them inside 50.
