Ivan Maric

It's funny how the world works.

If Carlton kept Sam Jacobs instead of Robbie Warnock, Jacobs doesn't go the Crows and push out Ivan.

This bloke is our most valuable footballer. Such a unique mix of brute force, smarts and around the ground leadership.

The reaction after he kicked that goal on Friday night was priceless. The blokes just love him. He is the type of ruck man that plays in flags.

Did he get owned ? I thought he was very good with the way he plays and Ryder was good the way he plays. At the end Ivvy was too tough for Ryder and Ryder became his woman so to speak. Ivan finished the game whilst I reckon Ryder looked on with envy.

Got beaten in hitouts. PFFFTTT. WGAF. The sheer presence of the man made the whole side walk taller. And Ivan's last 5 mins must've been soul destroying for Ryder. Awesome game.

What a presence on the park and yet so quietly spoken. Would have to be one of our most important players. Love the picture.

Anyone know how Ivan's cousin went this weekend?
One match only so far:

Ivan may not be the best all round ruckman in the league but he does a lot more than just OK. What has got is leadership skills in spades and you see others being inspired by seeing the amount of effort and ball winning he does around the ground. Not surprise in our improved performance when Ivan plays. He leads and the rest follow and try to emulate his commitment

He strained a quad either during the game or during training. Knights have one game to go so his next game will be VFL so his next game will be VFL Richmond tigers next year

This man is the new barometer of the RFC!

PushUp step aside you have been usurped by the Big Croat!

What a trade. Inspired, Strong, Leadership, Values, Team Player.
We've had some decent trades in recent times.

Leon Cameron, Greg Stafford, Kane Johnson, Nate Brown (till his leg went at right angles), Basher to name a few.

I reckon big Ivvy has almost been our best modern times trade ever!

(the only rider is in 8 years maybe another player might be Miles ahead in this department. Miles ahead :hihi)

But for now Ivvy wins hands down.

Your thoughts.

If he can keep playing to this standard for another year (or two) :) then you are probably right. The Nathan Brown injury was the tragedy of tragedies as far as Richmond was concerned. With him under the feet of Richo we were real contenders. He was that good. Browns injury was effectively the end of Wallace's plan.

Right up there with the Jeff Hogg trade to Fitzroy that brought us Matthew Broderick, Matt Dundas and Michael Gale, Gale and Broderick were both great players for the Tigers in the 90s. Hoggy unfortunately hardly played another game due to injuries.

The big fella certainly adds magic to our team and I am big fan, but Nathan Brown for me by a short head.

Paul Broderick went allright. ;)
(Matthew Broderick's claim to fame is he's married to Sarah-Jessica Parker)

I would have thought being Ferris Bueller was a bigger feather in his cap.
