I'm afraid, particularly as he seems such a wonderful addition to the club, that the Big Fella is pretty much shot.
The injury, which Dimma says will have to be managed for the rest of his career, is significant enough to reduce him and his contributions to those of a second-string ruckman.
Unfortunately, the Tigers just don't have a second ruckman of any quality to draw into the side.
Hopefully the trade period will bring us a ready-made ruckman of some substance, because I'm afraid Ivan won't be there when we're top-four contenders.

Gee I hope he is not physically gone. Non competitive rucks can destroy all the progress made elsewhere on the ground.

The ruck was always going to be our achilles heel, I think we may even be forced to pay above market rates to get another top liner. Warnock may be worth a look, although I worry about his contributions around the ground.

Unfortunately, RFC probably had to pay overs for Big Ivan to get him to cross the border, which probably constricts the salary cap a little.
That said, we definitely need to be actively trading for a ruckman that can contribute around the ground.

While I had some hopes for O at the start of the season I think he will be not much more than a useful fill-in and certainly not the answers to our long-term future ruck options.
Geez, it would be great if Elton and McBean could all of a sudden take the next leap, but I do appreciate that they are both young fellas finding their respective ways.
It's such a bugger that the talls take a bit longer to develop into their abilities.
