When did it become a race between 2 people? Can anyone say with 100% assurance that Richardson will not be considered?

Wasn't it only a few days ago he was leading the pack ?

Richardson I remember hearing a few times at Coburg games - too understated for my liking. Almost cold. If he's out of the running I'd be happy.

Hinkley's getting credit for Geelong's forward line transformation - credit that I think should go to Chapman. He's the one that pulled them into line a couple of years ago. Anyway, when you've got the likes of Mooney, Chapman, Johnson, Ottens and Ablett patrolling the front half - it's not like he's had nothing to work with.

Prefer Hardwick on pedigree. But my question on Hardwick is - will he be hungry enough?

Here's a thought - let's put in a caretaker until Chappie's ready.

Wasn't hinkley at St Kilda? sort of had a nice list to work on there as well, wonder what he would be like build a list from scratch?

Hardwicke at least was involved in the Hawthorn build out.

the rest of the season's news we are waiting on

"Tigers sign Hardwick"
"Brown and Simmo retire"
"Saints trade for McMahon; Tuck to Hawks; Shulz Power"

"Richmond with record amount of delistments"

"Trengove the Tiger"

voted hardwick, only cause of his hard nosed, taken no crap demanor, but should have voted neither.
sheeds should have been given 2 years to see if someone with absolute proven ability can turn this basket case around. wasted 27 years already whats another 2 years wasted if it all went sour.....at least he has proven he can do it, maybe he could have done it again. anyway that not happenin, but that alway gonna be my opinion , and we'll never know now.
someone has to shake this club around hardwick...???

Just watching Footy Classifieds.

I didnt realise Hardwick has been talking to Port Adelaide about a possible Collingwood successor type situation to Mark Williams .

I favour Hardwick but I think thats only because he was a tough nut on the field and there's an expectation he'd instill that into the players..I know nothing about his game day smarts or any of that stuff.....so he could be totally useless as a coach ........

Whoever we get will need to have a lot of vision though as he's going to have to work towards something happening a long way down the track...certainly not next year or the one after.....

The cheese sandwich will be stiff to miss out tho, very popular amongst the playing group

Stiff hey? Yeah he's been a real stand out. The players have really played for him the last 3 weeks. Anyway, who cares what that bunch of losers think. Theu should just shut up and see if they can raise their standard of football somewhere above under 14 level on a semi regular basis.

My top two preferences from day one have been Hardwick & Hinkley
The Top 5-6 mentioned were also those I was hoping to get through so, I'll say it again, they should have just asked me what to do to save them some time.

That being said, I can't split the two. Hardwick has the AFL Premiership pedigree, but has never coached his own side. Hinkley has more experience, didn't win a flag as a player just numerous grand finals, but coached his own side to a flag at lower levels. I'd love to get all three (including Richardson) to the club in some capacity. Hardwick probably appears to be the more obvious choice, however one of the others may be more of a Ross Lyon type appointment, understated but in complete control.

I just hope we make the right decision for once.

When you think about it, passing on Hinkley would just be silly. He has been involved at the club that won something like 45 out of 48 games (something crazy like that) and have been the best team for near on 3 years. Hardwick has a good pedigree too but if I was rating them purely on coaching achievements, I would rate Hinkley higher. My concern on Hinks would be if he could make the hard calls or not on the list and such. In saying that, It's not like I'll be disappointed if we end up with Hardwick, just dunno if I can put up with those dreg Norf supporters claiming that we picked up their scrapes because they rejected him (If It even went down like that).

hmmm, despite jumping to an early lead, Hinkley now trails Hardwick.

10% of PREnders were hungry when they took the poll.

Heh Heh Heh my insidious plan is working...the label is sticking, how could the Board nominate a cheese sandwhich to lead the side! >:D

I chose Hinkley because of the Geelong success.

I would accept either.

or Richardson, he sounds like a good developer of kids.

In the end, I petty whoever gets it, as I think we are a lost cause.
