Goodbye Mabior Chol

I think people are forgetting Chol was playing pretty well when Nank came back.

I thought he was just starting to taper away after a few games where he was looking very promising , im hoping the break has freshened him and he is ready to rip ,

There was a point there when he was forward, he was looking more dangerous than Jack

Disappeared almost totally for his last two games Ian. Nank will never do that. Can we afford an invisible man in a GF?

Nank disappeared in the Freo game. 1 disposal (kick), negative 1 meter gained, 0 marks and 15 hitouts is pretty woeful.

Don't know why Chol is held to a higher standard. Beat Nank in every stat bar hitouts when comparing that Nank game to Chol's last two.

Better with Chol than Soldo? No way. Chol has proved nothing. He’s got it all to do.

I hope he can but ifSoldo is fit he’s in the team ahead of Chol for a final 100% of the time.

I love Soldo, but let's not pretend that he is an elite ruck. He ranks 15th for hit outs, 26th for marks and 28th for disposals amongst AFL ruckman. As I said I don't understand the 'I don't trust Chol' narrative. He has shown plenty this year and provides a completely different skillset to Soldo and I reckon the combo of Nank and Chol will be very, very good and far better around the ground than Soldo...others clearly do not - we will see.

Chol has a track record of doing this doesn't he? Comes in. Goes OK. Even some spectacular play. Then, fades. Badly. Nank comes in, struggles a bit first up, then dominates v Cats. I'm not saying Chol won't come in and play well. But Soldo is a massive physical presence around stoppages. We are at the business end ladies and germs. Need every player switched on. I hope Chol is cos he is gonna get his chance.

You did say Chol would disappear, claiming we cannot afford an invisible man in the Grand Final. Where is the actual evidence that he always fades? Apart from your anecdotal stuff.

Chol's numbers were not excellent, but they were not terrible either. This season, I would put Nank and Chol on par.

Errr... No I didn't. OK I'll be clearer. I'm not exactly worried by Chol playing. Except vs one club called WC. But even then I'm not that worried. We will find a way. I don't hate Chol mate. He's incredibly tantalising and if he reaches his potential is gonna be a spectacular player. I would prefer in FINALS Solkervis. Think I'm justified based on Cats game. And if you mean by anecdotal my eyeballs watching the game and not stats, yeah I'm an anecdotes man.

Apparently Jack mentioned it on The Footy Show today.
I’m not sure it wasn’t a bit toungue in cheek from Jack, however I see The chubby faced 7 bloke, Browne ? Went with Chol kicking 5 , however we all know his credentials

I think Chol could be the difference in winning a flag and not, such is his talent, however I dont have a lot of confidence that he will produce in finals, hopefully he can. Will be needed this week against Adelaide as Talia normally has the better of Jack , that’s also why I wouldn’t mind DTLD playing forward first up

if there is one thing to expect it's expect the unexpected with this team. Chol may not even play finals.
If he does, he needs to not shirk ruck contests and get lazy. which he does.
and we don't have the luxury of just sitting him in the goal square.
but he is undeniably talented.

Chol is more likely to come in for Lynch than Soldo.

Nank will ruck one out with minimal support from midfielders.

I bet Caddy takes a centre bounce this week.

I wonder if the reality of being a genuine chance to be part of a premiership team could spur Cholly on? Whereas most of the time he has played - its been in the absence of Nankervis ... basically knowing that he would make way once Nankervis was ready. It’s different this time. It’s a huge opportunity for him. Has the potential to take us to another level again.
