Good article on Sky News http://ow.ly/16mvgs

Allenby won $US594,000 ($A645,000), which means his bank balance has swelled by $A2 million in the space of three tournaments.

Although disappointed not to have broken his drought on the PGA Tour, he has many positives to take from the event.

He twisted his ankle at the start of the week yet shot four superb rounds of 65-67-67-67, making only one bogey in his final 36 holes.

His world ranking will rise from its current 20th, consolidating his position as Australia's No.2 behind Geoff Ogilvy, who is now World No.9 after winning the season opener at Kapalua last week.

Genuine heart-felt apology from Tiger. First major step towards getting life and career back on track. Hope for his family's sake he continues with his rehab and stays on the fairways of life from now on.

I think most guys have a sex addiction, I just don't have the looks, cash and fame to buy the multiple partners

Who cares what he does off the course, it's not illegal and it really is between he and his wife, none of our business whatsoever

It impacts on his sponsors though, a consequently the buying public. Image is everything to those massive companies.

The best four days, or nights, depending on where you are, starts tomorrow. It's doubtful you'll ever get $6.50 on the freak at the start of a tourney ever again but I doubt he can win. That said, I am loathe to bet against him so will be parking my not-so hard-earned on players in the Winner Without Woods category. Am looking for a rookie Major winner. Kim and Kuchar will be specked but I think Stricker's time is nigh.

And, yes y'all, golf betting is for fools but it does make watching it a little more interesting.

Agree with this, the masters has a special kind of magic that has provided some of the greatest moments in sporting history - never miss it.

Surely Woods cannot win but can never bet against champions

Fred Couples to make the cut has always been a great bet but too short this year. Maybe Langer will make the cut?

I also like Thongchai Jadee as a real roughie and Dustin Johnson a chance at decent odds

Good luck with your bets there boys.

Going to attempt to tip the winner 2 years on the bounce after backing last years winner (Angel Cabrera) to much derision on here before the 1st round.

He was only a lazy 200/1. Pays for a few bets that. ;D

If we can even get as close this year we will be smiling again.

Ok here goes -

Furyk - 42/1 - Great scrambler who is running into form. Very Good record here recently.

Villegas - 40/1 - Good putter having an excellent year. Well Overpriced.

Campbell - 90/1 - Excellent record at Augusta & solid this season.

Slocum - 450/1 - Can leysy beat last years priced winner. Won the Fedex Cup showing some nerve & importantly broke 70 here last year. Huuuge price.

Hopefully we can get a run for our money. At those prices we will show an excellent profit if we do.

One of the poms may be worth a bet - Casey at around 30/1 - inside top 20 in 4 of his 5 starts at Augusta

Shingo Katayama at 450/1 could continue his form from last year - 4th at 8 under I think

Furyk is my main roughy, but I always love anibble on Sergio Garcia. :hihi

Garcia, Furyk, Woods top 3

Garcia...jeezus. Even if he wins, you know he'll still owe you plenty.

Agree with Leysey on Chad Campbell. And I might have derided you about Cabrera but I believe I tipped Immelman on these pages the year before.

Good luck to all. Hope Tiger is in the hunt on the final day.

Yes you did 41.

Hopefully one of us on the thread can continue the run.

BTW who is the dude you backed religously in every major. Was it Mahan?? ???

Leysy I usually love your tips but poor old Jim just shot an opening round +8

Sorry B1, Not this year for leysy.

Unless the absolute roughie can make a charge.

Adam Scott having a decent 1st round. Hopefully he can keep it up.

Someone posted earlier about getting on Couples to make the cut - looks like easy money there.

I did mention it but it was too short. Mentioned Langer a chance as well. Don't think Couples can win it but lots of the previous Masters winners are doing well.

Set up for a great tournament with Mickleson/Woods on the leaderboard and some old timers doing well

Scott misses too many makeable putts to contend at the business end - greens were at their easiest today, will get faster as the week progresses.
