Golf

Early this morning had a hit with a Calloway FTZ

Its better than FTI, but still looks ugly

Played St Andrew's Beach for the first time today. Lovely course, although facilities are poor. Can see why it went down the gurgler.

Ive got a feeling that St Andrews was recently sold
Could be wrong though.

The project was stupid from the start.
The course was good, but flogging lifetime memberships is dumb, there's no income.

I believe it might be in the hands of the liquidators; but could be wrong also.

Played it recently on a PR day - great course, very interesting layout and was in great condition

It was taken over by the financiers (Heritage finance). Not sure if they have sold it or are now running it. They ran the day when I played it in July.

Not a bad track, tad on the short for a new course.....At this point original members will not get anything back.

Isnt great listening to Bobby talk about how great he is, classic school yard bully....4 top 10s in majors in 40 odd starts ::), yep for such a talent Bob you really stand out when the big boys come to play

Allenby....... the legend continues! :cupgold

What a round of golf, not spectacular but he never looked like making a blue. Just seemed to exude confidence & control. I really wouldve loved to see him taking on Tiger at the masters. Wouldnt want to be his caddie though, anyone catch a bit of a spray he dished out to his bagman on the coverage, ouch. Although apparently he is known for his rough treatment to caddies.

Hope he can show some of that form come time for the majors next year.

Also another good showing by Leishman, looks a good one!

Well done to Geoff Ogilvy who won the 1st pga event for the year in Hawaii by 1 shot.

Watched a fair bit of this over the weekend, he is very calm, very consistent.
Could quite easily find himself the #1 ranked player this year dependant on what Tiger does.

Great duel down the stretch.

Allenby and Ogilvy are in a group of consistently good players who have a real chance of cracking a major with the unmentionable one now out indefinitely.
