Interesting hearing Arnold Palmer tell the story about how he and Finsterwald took $35 off Hogan and Burke at a practice round before the 1958 US Masters, to which he then overheard Hogan rather unpleasantly remarking to Burke: “How did this bloke get into the Masters ?” That comment was all the more rude when you consider that Palmer finished 10th, 21st and 7th in his first 3 US masters prior.
Ironically, Palmer went on to win the 1958 Masters. Hogan might have inspired him !

Peter Thomson. Now there's a wanker. And one of the worst course designers ever, I might add. The people in St. Andrews still want to kill him for the work he did on the Dukes course. What a debacle. They had to put in 5 new holes to try and correct the mess he'd created !

Allenby Birdied the first 5 , the Birdied 7 and 8 to be 7 under thru 8 and bogeyed he 9th that cost him a 29 on the Front 9.
Finished with 2 Birdies and 2 Bogey's on the back to card a 66 , but that could of been anything.
