played at Lang Lang yesterday

can you believe they call that track "the Augusta of Gippsland"?

Seems a fairly rough insult to Lang Lang

amusing but seriously the weed infested greens and uneven tee boxes are just terrible

Been playing a bit of golf of late.

Had a nice game the other day and my golfing has gone from sh!thouse to just poor.

Thailand's a wonderful place to play..
The other day it cost me $33(Aus) for a caddie(nice girl), electric cart, unlimited golf & a nice lunch to finish off.

Hard to take. 8)

Barwon Heads GC on fire.

Redford had a bad round?

I don’t venture to such second (or third) tier courses.
oh dear.
its(was) a good place to have a beer.

Played at Woodlands. ok, a bit dull

Bit like Huntingdale then ?
Its better than Huntingdale.
Woodlands greens may all be shaped like Inuit housing but at least they dont have stupid contours

I went and had a look at Sandhurst on the weekend. Very scrappy/scruffy looking.

Sounds like you had a fun weekend. No nags to punt on, so what else are you going to do, drive around and look at golf courses

Pretty much.

I hear they use elephants as golf carts. Subsequently there are huge signs everywhere telling golfers to stick to the paths and a local rule giving relief from an elephant's own relief.

Not this time. I lost. ;)

The girl's do like to get a good tip though.
Apart from offering some expert advice on the greens, they are pretty friendly.

So did you get one away, or sprayed them everywhere?

i managed to organise a round in late november on the new greg norman course in cranbourne called Settlers Run. it opens late october. should be interesting

Outstanding effort by Badds.com this morning, but just not quite as good as T Woo

Badds played really well. Unfortunately it's hard to beat a personaltyless birdie machine.

A good win by Brett Rumford in Europe as well.

Don't know a lot about Rumford. Saw him interviewed after his win yesterday and he seemed ok.

I just don't like Woods. Granted, his golf is on another planet and his ability to get out of trouble is astonishing, but I find him too cold and detached. Probably one of the reasons he's so good. I like to see a bit of flair and character on the golf course, a la Ian Poulter or John Daly - you never know what you're gonna get.

Guys like Seve and Jack Nick were interesting to watch as well as great golfers.

Each to his own Freezer, its funny isnt it how we get impressions of sportsman an we all assume there personalitty is a certain way.

I use to think Monty was a pompus dog ::)

Did we see Old Bobby Allenby had another Caddy walk of on him again the other day, what a jovial man he must be to work for ;D
