Jason Day, what a melt down. He dropped 4 shots end of 2nd round that were simply poor.

4 putts from not that far and proceeds to implode with another 3 double bogeys in the next 4 holes.

He was 9 under after 32 holes and finished 5 over. Might leave a few scars.

The 2023 US Masters from Drofgusta National is won and done. And the winner is with a final score of -30......

TIGERMAN !!!!

Well done Toigs. We'd get the 2022 winner Tenacious to present you with the illustrious Red Jacket in the famous Red Room with Jim Pantz to interview you, but given his performance, it appears he's bolted from the car park in his Bentley in petulant disgust. Shock of the Too-nament. Oh well. Looks like as Chairman it'll just be me, you and Jim. Wear the jacket with pride Toigs.

Toigs got a lead up at the end of the 2nd round with a group of 8 that was gonna be hard to beat - even with Jason Day completely capitulating and ruining a bunch of other scores with a shocking final round. Thanks Day.

Kings of Leon and Miles Davis share equal second place at -13. Well done. Leon will be rueing a bad 3rd round as will Tigerforce who finished 4th at -10 overall.

Players who missed the cut or WD'ed in the 3rd round (ie Woods) received the field average of 73 (which was the same for both 3rd and 4th rounds) plus two strokes for a 75 and therefore 3 over score each of the 3rd and 4th rounds.

A tough US Masters to watch, and for the Chairman to calculate scores this afternoon. Got RSI from all the key strokes and reviewing so check your scores.

Well done Toigs. See you all at the next major - the PGA Championship from Oak Hill country Club in Rochester, New York state, May 18.

Good job Drof. Funny how no-one picked Rahm in this comp. Big Phil helped me finish 4th, and great work from tigerman who also picked some successful long shots.

I think one of the more impressive performances was that of spoof’s, or scoop or whatever his name is. As the oldest player in the field and nigh on blind, his performance was quite remarkable.

As someone who went to the trouble of actually going to Drofgusta to prepare, your performance was disappointing too Moops.

I don’t think you should bother going to Oak Hill Moops. Just sayin.

True that, can’t argue.

I’m sure you can relate, as someone who travelled to the US to try and steal a March in the NFL comp you surely know how it feels?

I actually didn’t go to a game though. Went to see the record setting Bruins instead. And got sidetracked by many pubs and bars etc.

I didn’t really perform the research I should have. Unprofessional.

Surely now the OWGR has to end the farce and find a way to recognise LIV events.

If not, in 12 months time we will never again see a genuine major field.
We will eventually I reckon. There’s no way Liv is going to last.

Well run Red.

And super tipping tigerman. Is that your 2nd or 3rd major?

I wouldn't be so sure, they've had a great Masters and are about to hold their most successful event yet later this month.

Bubba today saying they are considering bringing 3 events to Australia next year.

I agree. Reckon it‘s here to stay for a while yet.

Had quite a few yanks ask me my thoughts on LIV when over there.

The looks on their faces when I said it’s great, as an Aussie we now get to see some of the world’s best golfers play on our shores was priceless.

They didn’t know how to respond, they hadn’t thought about it like that.

l play in a social golf group that is very large and quite often on the tee of a par 3 the question will be asked after someone tee's off
what did you hit or how far to the pin, this is in competition and it is a pet hate of mine and today l called a mate on it and told him it's not allowed
he did not like it at all, to members of private clubs is this tolerated at your club?

I was always under the impression telling someone a distance isn't illegal, I thought it was only specific advice on what club to use or how to play the shot that was illegal.
