Golf

Different sport and I don't think there's a cycling thread is there? :giggle:
But the Paris-Roubaix is on SBS Viceland right now, a great race to get yourself warmed up for the three Grand Tours in May, July and August.

When they hit the cobblestones soon, hopefully there's some mud and rain about, but it's looking sunny where they are at the moment.

Our own Stuart O'Grady in 2007 and Matthew Hayman won in 2017 won this great one day classic :eyes

Woods has withdrawn.
He looked not only physically shot but mentally I think everything that's happened eventually takes lots of your spunk, your shine out of you, he didn't look like the guy we know

Hearing you Leon, this is a small part as to why LIV was born.

Lots of players shown, no favour given. Someone’s hitting, let’s show it, no matter their country of origin or status.

But I love the Masters, and will watch it regardless of quality of viewing.

And the broadcasters know that. They show what their biggest audience wants to see, the good old US of A boys.

Do yourself a favour and download the Masters app. Select your favourite players and watch all their shots. It’s pretty good.
Yeah luv their app, one of the best one's around for sport.

U get the notification for the players you picked when they do something great or bad on your phone, like Scotty just did and Cam Young attached, and you don't need to wait for the TV to show them a lot of the time, you click on the player and watch the video highlights of what he just did (y)

Not a lot of love for this leaderboard, I’ve got a scheckle on Rahm , however I think I’d like Hovland to win , doubt he will though ….could be a great finish yet

Koepka making this too easy for Rahm.

Silly errors taking pressure off him.

This events cometary gets more cringey every year….it’s like a Bruce Mcavaney family reunion.

Wouldnt want to be in a drinking game every time Seve gets mentioned

That Butler cabin stuff is the most cringeworthy presentation in sports. It never fails to deliver. I'm surprised they don't have a photo of blacks picking cotton in the background.

Great tournament but the coverage is getting more cringeworthy with each year. Agree with leon that the addition of so many past champions denies too many talented golfers a start.

Really poor US Masters for mine this year. Ruined by the atrocious weather. The late-early starters in the first 2 rounds had a 2 stroke advantage over the rest of the field. It was a stop-start mess with tee times and starting tees all over the place. Plus, I don’t really like Rahm and Kupcakes either.

McGinley was right. It was always going to be hard for Kupcakes to maintain that level of play and he might get swamped by Rahm. But still, Kupcakes melted today. Terrible iron play and terrible putting. He had no idea of the pace on the greens.

Full credit to Rahm though even if I don’t like him. He was on the wrong side of the draw and still blitzed them.

Agree with others. The US Masters is becoming a schmaltzy, corny event from a tv perspective. All the crap on the Monday to Wednesday with weak, over dramatic, sucky nobodies like Kelly Tilghman is insufferable.

I like it, but not my favourite event of the year.
