Well, if he doesn’t shank his second shot on 11, then it’s one of the wildest cuts you’ve ever seen.
And then, just to top it off, his chip has reasonable speed on it as well and would have ended up a fair length past the hole if it didn’t hit bang on the middle of the pin.
And then Norman has Tway hole out on him from the bunker at the USPGA Champiinship at Inverness too.
Oh and Robert Gamez holes out from the fairway on him to lose the Nestle as well….
And when Mize played 11 earlier on in the day he hit his 2nd shot to a similar spot, but 10 foot closer to the green. The best he could do was chip it to 15 feet from the hole
Yep he did, the Shark was dominant in 86, just found ways to lose the majors unfortunately, British Open aside.
How weird is it watching them tee off with actual woods back in those days.
Really highlights how much equipment has changed.

Ha, yep, sure is weird. Can only wonder what the future holds, what will tomorrows players laugh about when they look back at us now?
As a young golfer back in those days I teed off with a 3 wood.
Had a 1 1/2 Prosimmon driver, couldn’t hit it for sh!t.
Compared to todays equipment they look like rescues.
My first set of cheap clubs as a young hacker was a second hand set of Prosimmon's. Saw many a round at Ringwood Public Golf Course.

Watching Tiger hit his driver on the range, and him picking his tee up after each shot, he was putting his weight on his right leg.
If he was still favouring his leg, he'd be picking his tee up off his (putting all his weight on his) left leg. Walking 72 holes might be another matter.
I'm like a little kid who can't wait for xmas, I love the Masters.
Yep, noticed that too. He is clearly still struggling.
If he even makes the cut it will be a remarkable achievement.
With ya regarding the Masters, its my favourite sporting event of the year. Final round on Monday morning followed by 18 holes on a local course has become my Masters tradition.
