Game Day vs Crows

I thought it was all class.

yeah agree all the way. Game gone, both players had played well and gone hard. Liked it. Made no difference to any actualities or potentialities.

Makes a fair difference if you could replace the ten weakest with the best ten who were missing.

Yep. But many of those 10 weakest have been permanent fixtures in the team for 2 years.

Understand Snake but we had them on the ropes at the start of the last quarter. We should have nailed them. I am bloody disappointed.

no we didn't. sniff yes, ropes no.

If stack was just battling, not getting it done and he did that with Betts, I'd be rope able but given he was one of our best and is performing every week he can do as he likes.

Agree. An acknowledgement of talent. A mutual sign of respect. Beautiful and appropriate.

Agree and only a couple of minutes before, Stackie had been giving Betts some lip. Betts just giving it a bit back and a bit of respect between the 2.

Thought the crows were off tonight.
Against GWS they played much better then that

Lucky for us, the stinked it up.
Could have smashed us by 10 goals + easy

Wasn't sighted all night then bobs up for a junk time goal.

Grimes owned him tonight

Grimes did do well on him - even better previously. Tonight Betts wasn't completely quiet and very few could have made that 'junk time goal', which he does over and over again. He's an utter freak.

Says a lot for Grimes, rather than taking away from Betts.

Agree. Any side would battle if they had copped what we had copped. Forget the Pies' 'brave' injuries to role players. We've copped them to 7 of our best 10 players.

At game & we got destroyed in the ruck, clearances & contested ball. Same pattern in each loss. The game has changed back to this in 2019 & our injuries combined with lack of attention to this fundamental is the reason for the decline.

The rest of 2019 has to be spent fixing this up. Recruiting a decent ruck support for Nankervis is a must. Balta needs to go to a wing for his long term role.

not sure how we bounce back this year. even the players currently a *smile* load of them are down.
really disappointing to lose when 4-5 players don't turn up to play.

All things considered our JLT team took it up to the Crows best team. Very good effort all night. Well done.
Also it was good to see the crows with almost zero injuries lose four players during the game. Rooted their season hopefully.

Just don't know why this is too hard for the club. We're stooging ourselves.

Agree with most of that.

Thought Naish looked good though. Has some polish. Not just a good kick, his hands are great too. I would continue to give him.games

Can’t believe Naish had 19 touches - You don’t notice him that much
