I see some valid excuses in the thread, but I thought we were smashed by a team with a system that puts huge pressure on us.

We rarely had play on our terms. Some players were exposed.

Rucks and clearances were a deadset liability.

Ross, Pickett, Egg, Rioli, are in the gun.

We were embarrassed today and I haven’t seen that for a while.

What game did you watch? Put Prestia, Cotchin, Edwards, Houli and Nank in that team and we win comfortably. This was their Grand Final against a 2nd string Tigers team and they won it in the end by a shitty 100 metre free.

We need some clearance beasts. We have been destroyed in that area tonight. 39-21 overall and 21-5 in the centre. I'm actually surprised we won that many in the centre.

You're not winning games against good teams when you give them first use that much.

We are missing a fair few mids that would help in this area, Cotch, Edwards and Prestia would make a big difference.

Bear in mind they had close to their best team, Dwayne tried to make something of it earlier by bringing up their big names that are missing like Burton and Motlop. Yes he really did try to compare our players missing to those 2. Haha

They beat us handily but we did OK given our outs and short break. Egg just conceded his position to Bachar. Good learning game for Balta. Port's pressure was excellent today, if they keep that up they'll be hard to beat but with a full strength side in QLD it would be a different story.

Can't believe how the commentators are going on about this! You would think Port just beat us in the Granny on the MCG. They had home ground advantage and we are coming off a 4 day break. Apart from some stupid play and some youngsters being shown up we took it to them and could have won

Watched most of the 2nd half on the tablet.

Yeah I'd agree on Balta, was comfortably beaten but will be good for his learning. The umpire explained the frees he was giving away really well. He can go back and work on that with Leppa.
