GAME DAY Tiges V Giants

One of the worst bits of the game at the moment, is holding of the best players. Last week Bolton got scragged all game by Turner who was praised. This week watch Ash, holding Prestia any time he is around the ball way before he takes the footy. The umpires are just allowing the best players to be held out of the game and its a joke. We should start doing it back.
Exactly. Why do they pay the other rubbish but not that? Held, 2 arms around him, not watching the contest. FFS give him some protection you maggots.

Garthwaite is a good VFL player but out of his depth at AFL level. I would imagine Astbury will be out next week so why not give Miller his one and only game at AFL level before being delisted

This is the best thing that could happen to us. We were done well before the bye.
This will cause Benny, Peggy, Balmey, and Dimma, to have a serious review of where we are at and what needs to happen from here. Had we made the finals it may not have been as stringent a review as what is required.
Dropping down the ladder won’t hurt either. Get the injured in for early surgery and give some kids a taste.

Was just going to say the same thing. Reckon he gave an identical kick away against Adelaide.

Nothing else you could say there other than he was sooking. Pathetic really.
I've noticed it quite a bit with him. Needs to get it out of his game.

Said last week that we put the cue in the rack pre bye.
There is no AFL team that can lose every centre clearance.. none.
It has to be deliberate. Sorry to offend but it is not possible to be this bad.

Last week we showed in a half that we have what is needed, also v Lions and Dogs.
So where is it ?
Have accepted that too many injuries, new rules, fatigue and post flag lethargy and lack of quality reserves has been too much and rolled over to next season.
It is a long game...not season to season. ...think about this. It is a long long game we are playing.

Like 16, good will come from this.
Higher drafts, easier draw and healed injuries.
Move on. Follow Storm this year.
As much as we all love Nank, he is not the greatest tap ruck man. love the big fella as his presence around the ground is his greatest strength

Think you might be taking it a touch too seriously.

I don't like those free kicks from a philosophical point of view but they were both free kicks.

They might only get paid 1 in a 100 but if you don't want to be the one don't grab blokes or throw elbows at them when the ball isn't in the picture.
That's the point though, if it's paid 1 in a 100 then obviously it happens a lot. Why should a player be disadvantaged and not be able to do to gain an advantage what everyone else does? It"s easily fixed, only pay if it is absolutely obvious and has potential to impact the play. Neither of those did.

We just haven't been up for the fight this year. Ralphy, Garthy, MJ, Parker, Dow, Mansell aren't AFL standard players at the moment. Titch and Jack are near the end. Lambo and Prestia just haven't got continuity at all.

It's been a strange year all around.

Yep. Scumwood's fall is worse.

Agree. Scraping into the 8 may have papered over some very glaring cracks in gameplan and personnel.

Stand rule.

We can’t defend against oppo short transition with our usual zone structure.

We can’t move the ball effectively with our chaos, territory style.

Our game plan is rooted. Long summer off, recruit well, come back with a more accountable style.

Yeah. Nah. They weren't.
