GAME DAY - Tiges v Dogs

Lol Cotchin sub

Why should any other player care about results when we are so clearly nursing the ex-captain to a milestone.

Wasted year looming, should never have enlisted Cotch and Jack for another campaign. Just a heavy load to carry now and distracting for all concerned.

Should’ve gone for a development year looking forward to a finals berth in 2024.

You expect to be taken seriously?

A moderately coherant thesis about how we won at selection, playing youth, leaving the elders cotchy and jack out

Then we play 3/4's of the crappiest footy weve turned out in 5 years,

With jack in the coaches box, and the old champ coming on at half time for the first time in his life,

And its cotchy and jacks fault?

You need to look in the mirror old mate and try put Baz back in the drawer.

Or your 6 year rebuild,

Will have been for nowt.

where is the evidence our 2023 best is as good as anyone? One win v Crows?
8 goals in 15 minutes second qtr says our best is as good as anyone. Problem arises when you're bog average for the other 85 minutes of game time.

Dusty only attended 3 centre bounces. And cleared 1. Hopper attended 18 and cleared 1.
The Bont attended 23 and cleared it 6 times.
Dusty needed to be in the middle more. We won the hit outs by about 15 yet were killed at stoppages. Why?

Yeah the tarranto, hopper, dion, nank centre set up isnt working right now.

It might work later, but i dont think so.

Not enough agility or decision twitch.

This is where Baz's disrespectful thesis has part merit;

Its all about the guts; we need a kid in their at all times;

Sonz, $hai, Bakes, MRJ, Danny, Clarke, Sampa.

Despite Nank wearing new ogonesson boots,

Hes appears to be winning his share of taps,

And contrary to popular belief,

Ruckmen dont tap it to mids,

Mids run where the ruckman taps it.

Out current set up is slow, uncreative, unskillful, and confused

It needs change, as soon as next week

* I still believe firmly believe this flag is ours to lose.

But Dimma needs to go to a Salvador Dali exhibition ASAP

Yeh I haven’t seen better footy than the patches we have played against the crows and bulldogs.
Dusty looked a little pissed last night. I think it’s on our talisman to drive another flag.

Team is very unsettled still. Hence the inconsistency. Add the kids to the mix and this is the result.
We need to settle on our best 22 and back them in.

I don’t like the way Dimma is using Dusty. He is the best midfielder for a generation who makes things happen and who happens to be good when he is forward.
We seem to want to make him a forward and part time midfielder.

I agree to a point, but we were doing this last year, too. Every team in the comp knows that if they can hang tough during our good period then they can come over the top of us.

Agree

Kids in best 23 imo; DTLT, MRJ, Sonz, Clarke, Mansell, sampa

Kids arent in my best 23 but are great depth; cumberland, ralphsmith, ross.

And thats not on one game, its on composure/speed/toughness index

cumbo needs emma murray badly. You dont get to the afl going at 38%

I know you have to use the list but

We exceeded the inexperience index by just 1 last night, and the scoreboard reflected that.

JR plays for one of Cumbo or RS, and we win by 10 points,

Even with the bookies giving Doughboy and that other no. 8 crook a payrise

Seems He is also easier to match up on as a fwd who goes into the middle on occasions. Teams had no answer for him as a midfielder who rolled fwd.

Yep. One quarter of electric footy then back in the pram. Couldn’t even crawl our way forward after half time.

Is he on the wrong medication E?

Yes, and its not a job for Harvard or Berkeley.

he needs to spend the weekend at bluesfest with @spook eating tempura battered vegan rueben sandwitches and reset

We need that yellow sash radiating ethereal blinding gold in heavy traffic.

We are millimetres and milliseconds away from being a masterpiece.

But it will go unrealised without a shift in consciousness

Love all the optimism here, but the fact remains that 4 goals in all but one quarter is nothing less than dismal.
No idea what the real problem is as I am no armchair selector.
Whatever, the results to date are the we fell in during the last few seconds for a draw against the Blues.
Struggled for most of the game against the Crows, then got shellacked by the Maggies.
Finally we lose to the Doggies after only one quarter if decent footy.
That is not the road to success.
Hopefully, by some miracle we will turn it around, but the signs with injuries and perhaps suspension to Lynch do not look that good.
We are missing Broad from suspension as well, for the next 2 games.
Be optimistic by all means, but also be realistic.

You gotta be careful at Bluesfest. A couple of bad shows coupled with a couple of bad mushies coupled with deciding to drive back to your campsite can really mess with your mindset. And your reputation.

Indeed. Throw in a dose of covid, mandy nolans cleavage overflowing with dragonfruit vomit and xavier rudd playing the kfc jingle on the didg,

And youlle never be the same man again

This raps us up.
With 33 seconds to go, (plenty of time especially with 666)
And we couldn't half the contest at the centre bounce.
They got it and McCrae cleared it like they were 40pts up.
Nakas shouldn't have been in the centre. He cost us the win. He is deplorable yesterday.
