GAME DAY - Tiges v Dogs

More or less - think Cumberland makes mistakes trying to create, plus he cares! Don’t drop him, just challenge him to keep going.
Yeah trying to hard to do something special I think.
Should not be dropped, Noah is far from our biggest problem.

I was there and it was a crap game, This team has definitely lost its hunger, work rate and lacks connection, the decisions time and again to handball under pressure, kick it across defensive 50 instead of going forward, playing dry footy in the wet , trying to pick it up when all they needed to do was boot it off the ground, they got smashed by the umpires as always, but at the end of the day, they played 1 qtr of good footy and the rest of it was just witches hats.
Succincted it jamo.

The connection the vibe the energy the love the vim and vigor is gone. Its not there and hasn't really been there since 2020.

Tigers are seemingly stuck between the past and the future and dont know exactly where they want to go or what they want to be.
Pretty much this.
Starting Mansell as a small forward before the season starts and leaving a player with x factor in Cumberland.
Playing Ryan as a forward with Jack and Tom.
Resting Cotchin and Jack after 3 rounds only to have Cotchin as the sub.
Players performing well in the 1s only to be dropped the following week.
J.Graham having zero pre season and rushed into the starting line up.
Team selections all over the place.
Lynch looked cooked from the first bounce today. Almost looked like he was hampered by an injury.

Have some players just tasted too much success so that extra effort is no longer there? Bolton looks like his mind is elsewhere. Ditto Vlastuin who has been very disappointing all year.
Great to play the kids but are they really any good? Think Sonsie will make it. Cumbo as well. The rest? Not so sure.

Im still trying to rationalise what happened in the change rooms at half time.
How can a side go from scintillating to utterly putrid??
We've been doing it for more than 12 months now. Looking in complete control, then collapsing in a heap.

The dropping of mj was fully justified, 7 touches with 1behind,same game that got him dropped.
His vfl today.
Playing like this means 1 less guy who can run and link and having a defender who will carry all game.

Yep agree wasn't his best game, too many mistakes, yet still had 21 disposals (6th), 11 contested (3rd), 6 tackles (5th), 10 score involvements (equal 1st) and 2 goal assists (equal 1st). Hard to imagine what his game will look like when he puts everything together.
Ha ha. Posters saying he was poor have no idea. How many games has he played? The kid is a star in the making. Just needs more experience.

We don't seem to be clear if we are rebuilding or contending. I think we have a bit of the same problem GWS had when they had Taranto and Hopper in that we have too many mids and some are being played out of position.

If we are trying to compete play Jack today ahead of Sampson. He can rest against Sydney or Melbourne who are both well above our level at the moment.

agree. Don’t know if it’s inferior football brains or the system breaking down so the player in possession doesn’t have the expected options and is forced to improvise?
On a dry track our system works. Forward handball and break the lines. We also managed to start our attackers off half back and work the ball beautifully forward. As soon as the rain came that game style doesn’t work. Losing clearances only hurt us when it was wet.
