Game Day Tigers v Demons

The drop off is staggering.

Was the last 6 years a glitch in the matrix?

We’re carrying 5-6 senior players who either can’t get to enough contests or their hearts aren’t 100% in it.

Just ran out of legs in the 2nd half and not making the most of 1st half opportunities was always going to cost us, effort was there, skills still wayyyyy down and mistakes will continue to kill us.

Not our worst effort this year, but much improvement still needed if we hope to finish above the bottom 4 or 5.
Why ran out of legs??
What preseason do we do??
Who's our fitness blokes??
We played with 5 players short.
Mansell WTF
Ralph Smith is hopless
Miller is useless
Pickett has been abysmal this year.
Clark and Rioli
When we got rid of Bulter and Castagna.

What could Bolton net us? Could be our way back into the 1st round. His hunger is gone after 2 flags. Not sure he has the hunger to elevate his game to the next level
Signed a 5 year contract and playing absolute lazy football

Yep. Dimma really showing his lack of match day smarts. Has always been a terrible match day coach. Had some brilliant assistants that were huge in that area. Now they've all gone. Great at team bonding and setting the culture and motivating.
Maurice off 1/2 time, Sonsie on could of been a different result

Considering the injuries we were competitive. Melbourne were lucky we kicked points… we just have to convert in front damn it!

For me the Dees players are up there in the unlikeable stakes, only second to the Lions, what a bunch of Dixons (oh and 3rd Port, they really annoy me).

Not sure what to make of that , great effort in someways, encouraging patches from Cumbo and Ryan , most of the pensioners did their job .

Might be time to have a look at a few in different roles , may just be a few lads under 25 we’ve overatted

I know people here may not like to hear it, but Mansell isn’t an AFL player. He has no vision, and is needlessly aggressive.
If we're going to be realistic, imo there are 4 younger/fill-in players in today's line-up that simply aren't good enough at AFL level. Miller, Young, Mansell and M Rioli. Ralphsmith is line-ball. Players today who are on their last legs, Cotchin, Dusty, Grimes, Reiwoldt, Vlastuin, Prestia, Pickett, KMac. Add to that list, Tarrant, Lynch, Broad and Nanks who have seen better days, where are we, in the short-term going to find players of the calibre of those who took us to our premiership years, especially now we've given up 3x1st rounders and a second over 2 years? We'll be stuck with an abundance of highly speculative players. This is why I don't think we should have picked up both Taranto and Hopper. Their prime is now and we're not going to be very competitive for quite some time. From a list management perspective we're in a bit of trouble. Same mistakes made as Hawks it seems.

Thats what is frustrating.
Yeah we have injuries but dropping Sonsie rather than backing him in is eventually detrimental.
We are at a cross roads.
Didn't think it would happen this quick.

We had a crack. I think we kicked 6 consecutive points? All gettable. Didn't expect to win, but should have got more out of that game.

Backline terrible in the last quarter. Umpires too. Who the *smile* is that number 2 for them?

Thought he was ok tonight but yes I’d look at all options

Please, no fanboy nonsense about how “if we’d kicked straight’ or “injuries have killed us”

Tonight was a classic case of an average team taking it up to a contender but not going all the way.

Yes, we are that team now.

Looking for Friends? Misery loves company.

Hate to break it to you Rob Walls, but we've been the average team for a few years now already.
