Game Day Tigers v Demons

They converted on their chances and we didn't. We could have won that.

I've been hard on our skills and coaching but thought it was very good until half time. By the end of the 3rd you just knew it was Tigers of old and we did everything to keep them in the game. The welcome mat was out.

Hate to do this to my guy, but Dusty should have got at least two up until half time. It really hurt us with those misses.

Some Good signs and about as many bad ones.

A small positive - I liked Shai’s game for three quarters.

3rd last.

Only West Coast and Hawthorn below us.

That Carlton Draw may save us from being wooden spooners........

Just ran out of legs in the 2nd half and not making the most of 1st half opportunities was always going to cost us, effort was there, skills still wayyyyy down and mistakes will continue to kill us.

Not our worst effort this year, but much improvement still needed if we hope to finish above the bottom 4 or 5.

Brown would want to be good..................................
You can guarantee that he won’t be and that we will cut him from the list one day and Geechaet will pick him up for nought and he will play stellar games against us.

Miller for Hugo? Maybe it will work out, but I can’t see how.
Sh!t coaching. Miller off, while Sampson is cooked.

Forces balta into the ruck and we lose all defensive structure.

Next minute, Van Rooyen looks like Wayne Carey.

Should have subbed Mansell or Marlion. Or left Hugo off

Picking Brown instead of Van Hooganband is as bad as fiora over Pavlich
The thing with this pick was the experts were all saying the Dutchman had dropped to RFC pick. We knew better. We favour HB Flankers for years now. Not sure why. Maybe game plan related. Maybe the thought is it all starts from the backline.

Please, no fanboy nonsense about how “if we’d kicked straight’ or “injuries have killed us”

Tonight was a classic case of an average team taking it up to a contender but not going all the way.

Yes, we are that team now.
Maybe. But our putrid kicking for goal in the second half did not help. Dusty, Maurice and Samson missed 3 absolute sodas in the 3rd; would have made it a 4 goal margin. It continued into the last quarter with missing easy shots again.

But ultimately we are no longer good enough. Our premiesrhip heroes are a shadow of their former selves (apologies Jack you have been magnificent) and our young players are not ready or not up to it. We are not strong enough, not fit enough and we can't kick the footy for sh!t.

The drop off is staggering.

Was the last 6 years a glitch in the matrix?

miller off when he & ryan taking it right up to the oppo talls...cotchin & jnr expired
balta leaving backline totally exposed
quite possibly the worst coaching decision i can remember.
Yep. Dimma really showing his lack of match day smarts. Has always been a terrible match day coach. Had some brilliant assistants that were huge in that area. Now they've all gone. Great at team bonding and setting the culture and motivating.

we missed 5 pretty easy set shots in a row ...

not necessarily why we lost, but it kills momentum
