Only problem is we continually see guys with prior get ages to get rid of the ball, we've seen guys spun a full 720, but still dispose of the ball. Vlastuin got tackled, then handballed. If that was HTB everytime thats ok, but it is not. Bad decision, almost as bad as the one MRjr got up the other end when Brayshaw kicked the ball- unfortunately the Dees free was directly in front, and ours was far enough way to miss.

Yes I know and agree; I've posted before about the shocking inconsistency of contemporary umpiring - how on earth did Young (I think it was) get any prior? I despise those decisions where a player is tackled almost immediately after taking possession, like after slipping or whatever. Or buried in a strong tackle because they went and got the pill, piled on, but dumps say you dragged it in! Would love these flogs to be tackled by AFL player/s and demonstrate how these experts would release it with proper disposal.

But since it is so untrustworthy, you have to really take the first realistic opportunity to offload the ball so you don't get pinged. It's chook-lotto and a shocking game for defenders now.

Don’t know if it means much, but we have played 4 teams in the top 8 plus 10th and 11th.

Must win next 2 against bottom sides and we're in an encouraging position again. 4 of next 5 games at the MCG.

We have too many olds guys who have lost interest, we have young guys who arent ready. we have young guys who are no good. we have the worst match coach in the league, we have a coach who is jsut here for the pay check, we got selection wrong. we got our sub wrong. we are a bottom 4 side, are skills are terrible, and our goal kicking is terrible.

Yet somehow we pushed probably the best team in the league, (at close to full strength) almost right to end, despite all our injuries, and despite the very clear mismatch we had in the ruck (again due to injuries.)
In reality if Jack, Dusty or Ryan kick a couple of the very gettable ones they missed (and those guys can kick- MRioli, Short etc missing their shots was not unexpected.) we would have gone in at 3/4 time with a very handy lead that would have changed the complexion of the last quarter- we wouldnt have had to shuffle our defenders etc.
