Game Day Thread - Tigers V Pies

Not sure if anyone has said it, but did anyone notice the Collingwood supporter on the bigscreen @ the G? I think it was the 3rd qtr, but most importantly, what the 2 x young Collingwood supporters were doing behind him?

Surprised they left it on the screen for everybody to watch for so long before transferring the live supporter footage.
The two make hand gestures behind that mad pies supporter. I was also they left that up there wish I could get a copy lol

He’s a plodder. Not sure what people see in him. VFL is his level I think.
And I don’t really understand how a midget can be intimidating as some suggest he is. Tries very hard though. He’s no Vlas

Nankervis gave the ball to the opposition with 3 continuous efforts
You’re the new Scotty of the game day thread. Not one positive post you really should stay off it. Just absolute crap the whole time.

Just look at the highlights on the AFL site... since when have they been showing full match replays??

One of the apps footy lite or AFL app I'm sure has average age of teams fielded, but I can't find it ,seen it accidentally once.

What truly pisses me off is that I just knew that would happen, even during our dominating years we let teams "hang around" in games they had no right to be in.

The fact its so predicatable is what is seriously concerning, because we see it happen far to often and consistently, the coaching staff needs to address this and find out from the players WHY they believe it happens.
I still think it's a deliberate strategy. Not that we gift goals to the opposition when we have the game won. But I think we'd rather take the foot off the pedal and win by 3 or 4 fewer goals than risk more injury. Reckon we've been doing it since 2017. We have had so few really big wins in that time. I think we just don't value percentage and I agree. It's a punt but I think a smart one. By the end of the season, generally, percentage is unlikely to matter much.
And it also extends to losing games by more than we might have once we've lost it.
The concern is that this year, it might matter more than normal. Melbourne aside, there could be a logjam for the next 6 to 8 spots on the ladder. This may be why we went so hard last week.
Interesting times ahead.

Maurice is shaping as one of the most exciting talents that I have seen.
Like one of the greats of the nineties, Michael Long, who would break through the lines.
A dynamic, charismatic, playmaker quality.
The basketball-like gather on the boundary and snap to T-Launch was sublime.

One of those players you just instinctively love.

I smile whenever I see him.
