Game Day Thread - Tigers V Pies

Another negative for today was Stack missed another week of footy. Might as well have given him a full game in the VFL

Win or not this has been a poor display except for a few individuals
Debbie downer much dude. Enjoy the wins. Plenty of easy stuff to fix and expect improvement from quite a few.

Just took the foot off the gas for ten minutes.

Not sure you can fix George, KMac and Graham's lack of skill and decision making and Edwards ageing legs.

That was a bit more like a Richmond game from the 2017-2020. Thought our pressure was good and we ran hard but stuffed it up by butchering the ball and poor decision making. Really should have been a 10 goal win and to win by less than 5 goals after being 8 goals up late in the game is a bit disappointing. But overall not a bad effort.

Let’s back it up against the Hawks next week and we’ll be right amongst it.

Missed the game but was happy to see a 5 goal win for the Tigers.

Not surprised to read that it should've been a greater margin but that's par for the course with the RFC I guess.

Well done Tiger's and great to have the Tiger King back no doubt and no injuries !!

Graham maybe, but sure on the other two. That isn’t their strength so it ain’t worth the heartache. We did have some stuff go pretty well as well though and plenty of players that can improve / Vlaustin will help.

Sitting at the ground, Kmac as always covers a massive amount of turf and forces the oppo to kick down the line and/or halves aerial contests.

Castagna I don’t get.

The reserves Cumberland, Banks, Clarke and this kid Sam Tucker all preformed well in the 2's.
Time to wave goodbye to Castagna and Edward's and bring in these kids.

I get KMac's ground cover but as a winger he needs to become more damaging with the ball especially now we are looking at a different style. He is the type we need to replace. Ralphsmith was the obvious one but some of his decision making is iffy but does have time on his side

R we loosing or something........ Just logged in and read the last 5 or 6 pages and all I seed is negative posts re players and how dumb we r and how bad we r playing. Can somebody give me a score???

Yes - listening to the call on ABC, only checking the AFL site for player stats - and from mid way through the 3rd, relaxed as a pissed sparrow, the commentators spent the whole time bagging the pies, think we are back baby, back. Never in doubt and gave up a few percentage at the end when the game was dead and buried.

Never in doubt ……

How funny is it that after 3 premierships and a cliff fall we are still better than Collingwood! Gives me a nice little chuckle....

Yep. Disappointed in that we could've easily won by 10 goals.
What truly pisses me off is that I just knew that would happen, even during our dominating years we let teams "hang around" in games they had no right to be in.

The fact its so predicatable is what is seriously concerning, because we see it happen far to often and consistently, the coaching staff needs to address this and find out from the players WHY they believe it happens.
