Since 2020 GF we have gone from humble and hungry to a lairy team drinking their own bathwater.
Embarrassing and a complete departure from what made us successful.
There is no system anymore.
I'm shocked

Cumberland a mini Caddy.
What can you say? The focus will be the volume of inside 50’s and poor conversion but the real issues run far deeper:
- we lost clearance to the bottom team. And it’s not just clearance number, it’s the ease of opposition clearance that creates scoring opportunities. Second half we nullified centre bounce clearance by finally playing shoulder to shoulder - why did it take a half to do that? Made a player like Simpkin look like Clayton Oliver.
- the winning goal to them came from yet another stoppage clearance.
- Nank is an undersized first ruck and outside of Prestia, we have no elite midfielders who can consistently win clearance and give us a free scoring advantage just about every other team has. Cotchin tries but age has caught up with him.
- Our skill errors, especially by foot are horrendous.
- I have no idea what our plan is in bringing the ball inside 50.
- Balta isn’t a forward and never will be.
Dropped mark at the top of the goal square in last quarter was inexcusable.
- Why was Gibcus playing in the ruck in the first half?
- Aarts - what’s the definition of madness again? Too mentally scared to go back from 20 metres out to take the shot, so played on. Why pick this player?
Where to from here? Don’t know. Cumberland and Sonsie show promise but it’s the game plan as much as anything that needs review. Until we address clearance, the same pattern will continue - our best can beat anyone & our worst can lose to anyone & tonight it did.

I had a bad feeling we would lose when we were up by 3 points with a few mins left. We always find a way to lose the close ones under Hardwick.
I actually dismissed it when it happened and all of last year but the coincidence cannot be that much of a chance
My point is who would you have played instead of Nanks? It's a pretty simple question.

It's not about whether Ryan would have been better, it's about expecting more from the co-captain. Giving away six free kicks (and earning none) is a disgraceful statistic, especially in a game decided by a kick. Missing two kickable goals is also disappointing. The report and downfield free kick were stupid. Another guy who is on good terms with himself with no justification for being so.
I know we are all disappointed but there is no way in the world that a 3 time premiership coach is not a good coach.
Have a look at Clarkson's last few years at the hawks, it was very underwhelming.
Coaches reach their use by date but Dimma has been a great coach of RFC .
