Game Day - Geelong V Richmond

Minor round.
We know if this happens in the finals they *smile* their pants.
They are lucky.
Pricky knows it.
Living in his head rent free.
They were fired up like it was grand final.

Great fightback, but ultimately we lost by a goal and they scored a goal in the 2 mins that Prestia was down on ground.

I don't give a damn if we get a fine, Dimma has to call that out. The fact that the game wasn't stopped was a disgrace and the margin of what they scored in that time is what the difference was in the end. DIMMA CALL IT OUT, IF YOU GET FINED, WE WILL ALL HAVE A WHIP ROUND
I think they only stop the game if our medics call for the stretcher.
Seeing that Dion was clearly off with the fairies immediately, was it in fact our staff the effed up?

If this is the case though, its yet another rule that makes no sense. Our medics were quite rightly focused purely on Dions health, nothing else. They shouldn't have to be thinking, soz Dion I've got to try and get the attention of the umpires. It was very clear that he was in a very bad way and surely 1 of the out of zone umps would be able to see that.

This loss along with the Adelaide loss will haunt us at years end.

Kochies in Adelaide, Bears, Frockers, and Suns in Metricon are the 4 key games from here.

Tigers must win them all to give themselves any chance of top 4, we might've just let it slip today.
Yes but can we also beat the umpiring?

It was a heartbreaking loss than will probably cost us any chance of a top four spot. There was plenty to be proud of. I thought early on they were much harder around the ball and bullied us a bit. It was a stirring comeback though.

Stewart's hit was a dog act. He ran past the football and took out our best player when he wasn't looking. Hopefully he gets six weeks. You can't have that in the game.

Baker has a heart the size of a cabbage. He was brilliant when moved onto the ball. Jack Ross was great. Probably his best game for the club. Shai was great up front. Tigga is a gun. Tarrant I thought was great on Hawkins.

I think we learnt Jack can't play on the ruck. It's an easy centre clearance everytime. We probably have to play Soldo at least till Balta is back.

Gibcus and Clarke were virtually unsighted. They might need a run in the twos.

Dusty looks like a mere mortal which is understandable given his preparation. It's still great to have the champ out there.

We looked a lot quicker than them in the second half once we shut down some of their uncontested marking.

Just watched Dimma's presser. Gotta say I'm a little disappointed. I get the whole diplomacy and grace in defeat angle. But you know what? *smile* it. I don't care. Even though I think we still should have won from 17 points up in last quarter, we were *smile* robbed tonight. A Geelong player illegaly and arguably deliberately took out our best player in the first quarter. Not too mention he was out of it for 3 minutes on the ground and they didn't stop play and Geelong kicked a goal. And we lost by 3 points. If that is not a travesty of justice I don't know what is. Not to mention the *smile* cheating umpiring again!! Dimma should have been more direct about it. *smile* the fine. The club is loaded and he earns $800K a year. Bloody hell I'm sure many of us would chip in.

I'm *smile* sick of the AFL treating us like dog *smile*. We need to stand up to these cheats. Also, I don't recall too many of our players remonstrating with Stewart; disappointing. If we play them in a GF he needs to be targeted; 80s style. I don't know what happened after the game as I left the room in anger, disgust and frustration. But I would have liked to have seen our players rough him up after siren and or refuse to shake his hand. He maimed our best player and it cost us the game.

All year thought if we make the 8 we will just be making up the numbers.

I now believe we can win it this year. This game is the turning point.

I'm p!ssed off too Riddles, but these a-holes have ruined the game so much that any soft act goes under trial. Especially us. Maybe when Gil the Dil leaves, some truths might open up from clubs.

I don't care mate. Unload both barrels and pay the fine. They can't *smile* us any harder.

We need another good , tough pressure forward.

Up to Stack & Cumberland.

Also another midfielder. Which one wants it??
Would love to see Stacky get his :poop: together and force his way back into the 22, we could certainly do with his genuine toughness and attack on the ball out there.

God knows he owes this Club for sticking by him on more than one occasion, be a great time to repay that trust.

Are teams allowed to call for a stretcher?
Gill the Dill would be pissed as it’s not a good look if a stretcher comes onto the ground

Great effort to fight back I thought we were going to get flogged. Top games by Nank, Pickett, Baker, Tarrant, Rioli, Grimes.
Critical defensive errors were costly again. Eg. In the last qtr a marking contest on the hbf with Cats in attack, 3 tigers went up and instead of thumping it towards our goal, someone did a big clearing punch towards Cats end resulting in a goal. Who did that? Even juniors are taught not to defend like that.
Just saw the replay in the highlights...Gibcus punched it to the Cats advantage in the last qtr to gift them a goal.

Really disappointed in that result, first time I've really felt the juices flow all season.

Should have won, just lacked a bit of poise when it counted.

Nankervis was huge in that final term, and those people who continually bag Tarrant and Stengle must be reflecting on just how much they actually know about the game now.

On the Prestia incident and why play didn't stop, the criteria is pretty clear for that because of the obvious potential to use it strategically. Basically play only stops if the injured player is in the immediate vicinity of play or if the stretcher enters the field.

In that instance the ball only went remotely near him on stop plays with a mark or a free kick so no reason to stop the game. We could have called for a stretcher but no staffer would use that as a tactical tool if it wasn't required.

Have a look through the match stats.

Almost every stat is incredibly close.

Until you get to free kicks.

Geelong get DOUBLE

Tell me again what umpires don't impact results. It's why fans are dropping off AFL in droves
Of course their decisions influence game results, anyone who say's differently doesn't know Jack:poop: about the game.

When it's as obvious as today's farce, it makes it impossible NOT to see it, regardless of WHO you support.

How many weeks for Stewart?
