Flicked onto the 'offsides this morning
And Kellie Underwood said the AFLw might need to change the voting system in the girls brownlow because apparently Garner from North was the best player this year. She did say Conti had a very good season and she is a star..but once again people wanting rules and things changed as soon a Richmond player or club succeeds in the competition.
Was Woodein the best player in 2000?
Was Scotty wynd the best in 1991?
Prides??
Did they change the rules after KB didn't win the brownlow in 74?
Or when Raines didn't poll a vote in 82?
Or Campbell not finishing in the top 3 in 95??
Stopped reading at Kellie Underwood.

when Richmond wins too much or one of our players wins awards, it's time to change the system and the rules...boy's club unwritten code.

There is some truth to that. Conti is clearly our best and other than Sheerin and a few others we lack overall quality. Hence our ladder position.
Had a stack of injuries this year. Also a tougher draw - there is 10 rounds in a 20? team comp. Swans played all the bottom 9 or something. We beat Brisbane early before injuries struck.
All I will say is look out if we stay injury free. And it won't matter how good our team is - Conti is a superstar and will win it all again... Got tagged every game this year, she just goes harder. Amazing player

I was about to ask the same thing.
I don't watch alot of the girls play but was it the case good player in ordinary team ala Wines or Garner plays with other quality players knocking votes off her?
Ala Bompmytelly???
No it wasn't - absolute gun who was tagged all year

Simple reason Conti won the wimmens Brownlow.
Conti's a star playing in a moderate side that didn't even make finals so she stands out like the dogs proverbials.
Gomer's a star playing in a premium side that's contesting for a flag, ( did they win today? ) so she's surrounded by a bunch of very good players who would take some votes off her and she wouldn't quite stand out so much.

Been happening for 100 years in the mens Brownlow, so why not the wimmens as well.
I think Conti is the best women's player I have seen by a way. She copped all the attention from the opposition and still prevailed.
Al\so works the other way - don't win as many games, aren't supposed to get the 3 votes yeah?
Won't matter how good the team is next year, and it will be better, she will stand out she is that good

Funny enough Geelong has gone top 4 on the back of Scott.

Am disdain the lack of hate for the AFLs teams.

AFL’s top boss and sports media personalities were spotted enjoying beers at a Fremantle pub on Saturday before heading to the boat harbour.
Chief executive officer Gillon McLachlan, journalist Damian Barrett and TV personality Billy Brownless were all smiles at the Gage Roads Freo Brewery as they chatted away, before making their way to the boat harbour.
The sports icons ditched the suits for summery linens preparing for what looked like a stellar day at Rottnest Island.

The brewery is located down on the Fremantle Port in the A Shed, overlooking the stretch of water between Fremantle and Rottnest Island.
Next door is the B Shed, where tourists can catch a ferry to the popular holiday island.
The picture, supplied by PerthNow, shows Mclachlan at the ocean-side bar with Barrett, as well as Brownless chatting away with two women.
The prominent sporting identities jetted west for the star-studded wedding of James Brayshaw to Lisa Christie.
The couple’s reception was held at the Shorehouse restaurant in Swanbourne on Friday evening and the invite list included McLachlan, Barrett and Brownless.
One time Footy Show star Sam Newman was also on the guest list, as were Garry Lyon and Justin Langer.

What the actual did I just read?
Read like one of those reports from some misgendered parasite royal watcher or Hollywood red carpet sniffer.

Radio and free to air TV? A bout of Bubonic plague would be more enjoyable and entertaining.

Never, ever, listen to the radio thanks in part to Gerry Harvey and those Good Guys and the verbal diahrrea crew on each and every station.

And free to air? Wife watches MiserableChef, Kitchen Ruined, MessedUp Race, Surrender, The Judges, and every other variant of dullards delight that some ponce can fling at a transmitter.

The laughable thing is that Open Mic keep sending me surveys asking me what I think of the offerings from the networks and the products they advertise. Pretty sure every response I provide becomes the the outlier.

He‘ll have no problem justifying it. Like he justified the Horne-Francis move to Port.
They will be shitting themselves Bulters (who is there best player) only signed up for only 2 years.
Clarke Hartley & Beck better be setting up camp outside his front door.
I just want him to come to us so it will hurt even more.

This is ridiculous:
The quirky proposal relating to coaches on the bench reads: “club football officials continue to whistle from the interchange bench to get the attention of players, which interrupts the audio of match broadcasts. It is proposed to include a new regulation prohibiting whistling or making any other such noises to communicate from the interchange bench.”
Kane understood the regulation was quirky but explained there was a need to manage the way coaches and officials on the sideline interacted with players and particularly emergency umpires on the bench during games, with the regulation being a proactive step.

how's this one from the 'rule change' article ..

* Prohibiting club officials from whistling or making other such noises to communicate from the interchange that interrupt broadcast audio.

The AFL must have found out that Yze likes to whistle from the bench to communicate to the players.
Only reason I can think of for this
