The AFLPA and the clubs need unite on this matter.
The clubs should say to the AFL, come back to us when you have restored the Soft Cap.
The players should give the AFL similar demands, such as scrapping The Stand rule, or sort out the AFL & AFLW's fixturing........or whatever their major gripes are.

It's time for the AFL to be pulled on.

Players wanted and got a fat pay raise. Gotta do the meedjia stuff to keep the shekels rolling in and keep all the corporate entities happy.

Maybe the players should get together and make an agreement to begin every one of these ‘interviews’ with the word *smile*.

The real entertainment here is not hearing the same bland, boring answers to the same bland boring questions from players and so-called sports journalists.

The fun begins when a player or group of players become less than co-operative with the whole situation.

If they try to enforce this, then I think you might have some of that fun. The new bloke in charge of the AFL is not covering himself in glory at the beginning of his tenure.

Was never going to, he's a corporate shill through and through. He was always going to be the same as Gill the dill.

Just saw an online article headline from 7 News referring to Cameron Mooney as an 'AFL great'.

yes Scott Gillan, the 2020 AFL premiership should have an asterisk to indicate winning a flag whilst in a bubble on the road during a disrupted season during a pandemic is a phenomenal effort!IMG_0388.jpeg

Was just coming to post the same, how pathetic is that. If anything the 2020 season was the most fair of all, with each team only playing each other once, and the AFL not being able to create a fixture that benefits some teams and is crap for other teams

It was considered the unbelievable flag, the ultimate flag, the most difficult flag to win.
But (,I knew it) as soon as we won it they would down play it.
And they haven't disappointed. It's not the 1st time Ive heard of someone down playing it.
Robinson and Pinoccio would constantly mention how hard the 2020 flag would be for most teams.
That evaporated the minute Ash Bartey handed the cup to Cotchin.
*smile* them all

The 2016 flag shouldn't have counted.
More throws then in a NRL game.
I'm shocked the umpires didn't received premiership medals in 2016

LOool. If any club has an asterisk it's Shocking's Geelong.
*changed the rules to slow down the team that had beaten them in 3 final series.
Hocking shouldn't be allowed to work in the AFL.
Worked in the AF to change the rules to favour the club he walked into 12 months later.
I'm going to the Geelong game.
All day i will be reminding them 'thanks for the flags 67 80 17 19 and 2020
