Finals Week 2: the Keilor cafe games.

Look I think we'll get done like a dinner - but I thought the same last night. Which makes making the decision to spend considerable amounts of money on going even harder.
I thought last night could've gone either way, and so it went. Agree next week you will get done, but funny things happen in finals.

Blues fans are off their heads, like us in '17.

Youve got to roll the dice and go if you can get a seat.

An away prelim is worth the risk for the sweetest of victory.

Youre a real chance

Correct but i just read if gws wins today they will likely play pies on sat.
That'd be fair, giving Gee Whizz a proper seven day break off an interstate game coming up against a team that's just had a fortnights break. Gotta give teams a fair chance during finals instead of handicapping the crap out of them.

I agree.

It'd be nice if the AFL could confirm the day of the prelim so I could make my plans already. What a problem to have as a supporter!!
You would suspect Collingwood would play Friday night and Brisbane in a twilight Saturday game. That has been the standard procedure in the past with the highest ranked team getting the Friday night game

The difference is in 2017 no team in the finals could get within 6 goals. :sneaky:

No guts no glory BB, just remember they are the biggest smug supporters in the AFL and are very good at baiting you. Dickheads.

Anything come yet of Carlton ignoring concussion protocols?

You mean weitering? That seemed a beat up to me.

Theres a difference between a bit of an exhausted post contest wince wobble

And concussion isnt there?

I dunno? Im no neurologist

I thought theyde give brissy the extra day rest to offset the travel??

Dunno - collingwood will be calling the shots, unless Blues get up. They can go toe to toe on bums on seats and power.

Love to see a blues pies final, although i feel like Blues will spend too much getting there, and vulnerable to capitulate exhausted in a GF, especially with these close ones and a trip to brizvegas.

I think gws or port best chance of beating pies

Walsh was outstanding last night. Burnt them alive.
He is the the best inside-to-outside spread midfielder in the game. Times it perfectly. And isn't quick. Has an excellent ability to get out of traffic but runs and runs all day. Endurance athlete, not a pace mid. But does it all day.

I would point Dow, Ross and even Hopper to be watching how Walsh runs.

If there was a turning point in Carlton's season it was the management of Walsh, early in the season he was predominantly outside, often spending time resting on the flanks. No surprises the Blues lifted when he returned to his inside role, I'll credit Vossy with that adjustment, he's also lifted as a coach and tactician. Looking good are the Blues although there's still a mountain to climb, they'll need to tidy up the disposal if they want to make it to the big dance.

Any of you guys make the trip for the 2001 prelim? Not taking the *smile*, genuinely interested.

'Breathing difficulties'..

Maybe he had a panic attack at the thought of missing the Prelim with concussion symptoms.:cautious:
Heard Voss say this morning on SEN that it was a ‘hit to the throat”?

Haven’t seen the incident again, but I’ve been hit:

On the throat
Hit on the head

So hard that I felt nausea and wanted to throw up.

Guess which one was it?

No but took the trip to the 2019 qualifying final. Awesome trip, one of my best footy experiences.

The walk of the tiger fans from the pub ( can’t remember the name) to the ground before the game was incredible. We tiger fans owned the Gabba that night, as did Dusty of course.

Had a Ticket to the game but couldn't get a flight at the outrageous prices they were charging no doubt it will happen again next week
