Expect Richmond v Carlton to be postponed or the fans locked out

The AFL is preparing to reschedule all matches beyond round one, as it knows it will almost certainly have to indefinitely shut down its competition to deal with the Coronavirus outbreak.

Fans who have purchased tickets for Round 1 of the 2020 Toyota AFL Premiership season via Ticketmaster and Ticketek will receive a refund, while club, AFL and venue members will be communicated to in coming days

after the Vic Premier's announcement today that fans will be banned from the Grand Prix, IMO there is zero chance 90,000 of us will be allowed in to the G next week. But I think its more likely the season will be pushed back a couple of weeks

Looks like Figgy might finally get his flag unless the GF is in November as them bastards win Premierships in October

Game will go ahead with fans locked out of the G
Might as well call it a practice match with that huge echo sound in an empty stadium.

This is so stupid it's funny.

Within the next 7 days, I'll say this happens:-

and for the f*cking sake of sanity, I hope they change their mind.

I knew Richmond winning multiple flags would lead to the AFL imploding, but I didn’t think it would happen like this.

The Club will delay the unfurling of the 2019 premiership flag until it can share the moment with its loyal and passionate Tiger Army at the MCG."

one thing you can be certain of, in these uncertain times,

Is the RFC will do things right, and with style and grace

Good to hear. Best do it against the Chokers the week after, even though we're away. Otherwise we have to wait until R4 - April 11 against the Cows.

I love our club. Good on them.

Should read "until we can unfurl it in front of the maximum number of Carlton supporters"
Maybe we should wait til the return bout..... we'll still outnumber them!;)

Ohhh ... how good would it be to unfurl it against Tex's mob...... they can surround the pole and sing our song, while we finish our warm up..... perfect:)

Playing afl games in front of no spectators gives an unfair advantage to the giants, suns and Kangaroos. They are used to it

Don't forget Port's era of covering the empty stands with advertising tarps.

It's all gone to *smile* since Brad Scott got his fancy AFL-title-that-no-one-can-remember.
