Expect Richmond v Carlton to be postponed or the fans locked out

Official Australia's Chief Medical Officer has banned all mass gatherings over 500 people

Available as early as November!! Lol, by that time we will all have had it and the body will have created it's own immunity

If true and they can prove it in human trials, surely they can produce it much faster if they provide temporary licences to other labs to produce using their facilities. The only constraint in production of the vaccine, is in facility size, so even a temporary licence period would increase the number of labs who could produce using the same technique and create a much larger scale to produce. 10m per month whilst sounding like a lot is what will take a full scale vaccine to be available within the 18 month timeframe.

The AFL have the benefit of the mid-season bye and end of year bye, so there is at least a couple of weeks that allows them to shuffle dates.
I reckon they would prefer crowds at games so am starting to think a delayed start as opposed to empty stadiums will be their preferred option.
Interesting times.

Thats unfair. That's what North gets to a home game.
Each club should allocate 10 golden tickets.
Each of the 10 sit on opposite sides of the ground. To create some type of atmosphere.

#does this mean no banners either??

Our banner this week should be

"Carlton your the disease but we are the Cure"

Can't see it being it over that quickly, I am bracing for every eventuality even the chance/likelihood that there will be no Premiership Cup awarded this year just as we are at the peak of our powers:vomit

If you still haven't caught on that this **** is very serious then good luck to you.
Thanks. This 'fear' has gone way beyond. We might as well all start living in hibernation and start creating ghost towns.

Really? Is that a gut feel or from a knowledge of pandemic management?

Has anyone died or spread this virus from the T20 event at the G last week or should we just follow the sheep?

We don't have access to most of the grounds for an extra 5 weeks

times are different now. Victoria play at the junction oval most of the time now. but I just realised the cricket 20/20 world cup is in October. the first game at the MCG is October 25. I'm not sure how long it takes to prepare the drop-in wickets, but I'm guessing 2 weeks at least. so realistically, you probably couldn't hold the GF later than Saturday October 10 (unless the cricket 20/20 world cup is delayed as well or games are moved from the MCG).
