I actually hope that the Bombers get Clarkson. The amount of the soft cap he will suck up would be astronomical.
North could have gone to the AFL and asked for some support, they've already said they don't need more picks (so aren't asking for a first), what they have said they need are more mature players and they should be saying that they need more coaching support. Temporary increases to their soft cap will probably then be allowed to bring in Clarkson as well as be able to fund the rest of their coaching dept.
Essendon won't get that, they'll go the whole messiah route, realise they don't have enough money so support their messiah with crap coaches and then very little development of their kids as usual.

He hasn't got time to be assistant at the bummers. He and Truck have been too busy talking to Fly and Leppa and instructing Dimma to bring in Cumberland, Moju, Sonsie and Miller as well as moving DRioli to halfback and Balta back into defence.
