Essendon = Entitlement

Poor Norf. They really are the girl who opens their legs at the first sign of affection, only to never get an engagement ring.

Finishing 8th means beating the Cats in the GF, rather than knocking them out in the prelim. which is better?

(Tho the cats might choke week 1- finishing 8th means we knock them out week 2- that is perfect.)

Dunno. Love the thought of beating in the Grand Final again, but this time I think it would be more fun to have Scott as a finals losing coach who couldn't make it to the big one despite winning the minor Premiership.

Either way, Dangerfield will cry again.

Sometimes I think people invest too much in the idea of the great coach walking in the door , waving a magic wand and everything turns to gold ,

We thought we had struck gold with Terry Wallace ,

then Dimma was the man to deliver

If Clarkson goes ahead and signs with Norf, Essentitlement might make Dimma an offer he can't refuse.

I reckon we need Clarko to get to Arsendon. I get this Malthouse-Carlton Pagan - Carlton feeling all over again.

In fact, Arsendon are largely replicating Nofinals-ton the last 15 years. Might as well continue !
Yep they will be looking for a messiah and it will end in tears; again. I feel that Clarko is yesterday's man and his best is well and truly behind him. He left the Hawks in quite a state . I hope he ends up at Essendon; it will continue their sense of entitlement and complacency.

Exactly. The coach has not been able to recruit the team to suit his preferred gamestyle. Dudoro has been recruiting whomever he wants and it shows. At least Dimma was given time to recruit his style of players.

As others have said, Essendon will most likely be a rabble.
And even if they are pumped, it will be good for the Tigers to have a finals-like tune-up.
Richmond will be riding a wave leading into the finals.

Best thing now is that Dimma's our pay off for Sheeds to be an Essendon man and coach. Dimma's now and always will be a Richmond Man.....as he says.

Question. Would you bring Truck back as an assistant like we did with Leppitsch?

Jordan Lewis and Hodge didn't exactly give him a glowing reference the other week. They may be bitter about being moved on by him but they still won 4 prems with him and played for him the vast majority of their careers yet you got the feeling both of them thought he was yesterday's man as well.

Every time I hear him speak he sounds like Malthouse did at the end.

Exactly. Every one has an expiry date and there is a very good chance Clarko has passed his. Everyone seems to think he'll be able to do what he did at Hawthorn but that was nearly 20 years ago when he started.

As for Malthouse, how relevant is he these days? He picked Essendon to win the flag this year :rotfl1:rotfl1:rotfl1
